I've been reloading for a while on a Dillon 550B press. I recently picked up a couple other presses as part of an estate sale. I'm trying to figure out a Lyman T-Mag II Press. In the Lyman T-Mag II I use a decaping & sizing die after which the .45 case freely drops into the sizing gauge. Then I use a Lyman hand primer to prime. Next I use an expander to flange the case, then a seat and crimp die to finish. Using Berry's jackeded 180 bullets...... When done - the crimp looks good but the round no longer fits in the gauge. If I run the round through the resizing die again (which I assume is a bad idea) - then the round drops right into the gunge again. Can anyone suggest what I'm doing wrong ?

Hi All, I'm hoping some of you can share some experience based opinions. I'm an experienced shooter but an IDPA novice. I'm in the process of building a CZ SP-01 for Carry optics but lead times for the work put completion well into the fall. I'm considering a Sig Sauer P226 SAO Legion RDS for this summer. I know the general complaint about the P226 is that is has greater bore axis than other choices (like the CZ), but does that really mater in Carry Optics? The Sig P320 seems to be the most popular CO choice in my area right now and the bore access of the 320 seems to be about the same as the 226. The single action only trigger (with a little polishing) is near perfect and I like the Romeo Pro Optics. So, popularity aside, can you share your thoughts, pro and con, on using the Sig Sauer P226 SAO Legion RDS for Carry Optics ? Thanks in advance.

If one were to want to Shoot a Beretta 92 in SSP and wanted a better front sight ...... Since there is a version of the 92 that comes with a dovetail front sight (http://www.beretta.com/en/92-vertec-inox/) Would it be SSP legal to ..... 1.) Replace an old style 92 Slide with a 92 Vertec Slide ? 2.) Mill an old style 92 slide to the exact specifications of the 92 Vertec? 3.) Drill the front sight post on a classic 92 and insert a fiber optic filament ? Thanks in advance.

I'm thinking about coming back to IDPA events this year and looking at gun choice. After reading the rules..... For the sake of argument..... Using a Glock 34 as a base gun..... For SSP I can ..... Do a complete trigger job keeping the stock trigger. Use extended after market magazines (as long as it all still fits in the box). Add magazine base plates as long as they don't increase the mag weight more that 1 oz over stock Use grip tape Then for ESP I can take the same gun and add ..... Aftermarket TRIGGER Add magazine base plates as long as they don't increase the mag weight more that 1.5 oz over stock Add a mag well (max 1 5/8) Stipple the frame Is that correct ? Thanks in advance
