  1. I ground down a regular factory sight on my Shadow 1. Had it in a small vice, used a cutoff disc for the most of it and the grinder for the rest then put in slide. I think the Shadow 2 has the same slide cutout, but if you ever need another Shadow 2 front sight probably not hard to find.
  2. Good news! CMMG got back to me and will be sending me another bolt, so at least I'll have an extra backup. Much appreciated to them for responding.
  3. New tighter barrel bushing from CGW, maybe?
  4. It seems they already did that on their 'universal' optics mounts. I have one on my Orange, and it has a shallow channel on the underside that provides clearance for the Orange's top rib....really gets that thing down low for an 'over-mount' like that. Only thing is that the C-More unit mounts with centerline screws, so a channel or filing down would probably affect how much threading they could engage and you may have to watch how long those screws protrude underneath. But does that mount really get that low enough to interfere with the Orange's top rib? It looks like it sits well over and high enough....
  5. That looks nice...is it NP3 coated?
  6. I had a Kensight adjustable LPA-patern on a TS slide that I had mated to an SP01 frame....shot a lot out of it and never had any problems. Regular factory 9mm stuff and 147 reloads. Also shot some .40 S&W out of it in Limited, as the slide is actually a .40, but also uses a 9mm conversion barrel.
  7. Just checked mine is ok. I put a small layer of plastic from a clamshell packaging and only tighten down until I feel resistance now. If I stay with this I might just drill and tap dual holes on the side for new set screws.
  8. Crap...this is a good point. I use an older 'shelf' fixed rear sight on my Orange as a slide racker of sorts, and I have it so I can slip it in and out with the set screw. But I have to be careful with torquing it down. Maybe fashion a small plate to put in that recess on top of the frame to help.
  9. Also I heard that their hammers have a 'ledge' that breaks more crisply (is that even a word?) than the stock hammer.
  10. +1 on on this, especially on the Tac Sport models. Going 18-20 lb with mine.
  11. It's wild with hammer springs that heavy that little round still has enough blowback to cycle.
  12. Sweet gun! - Yes recoil springs of different weight depending on load. - Those do look like hammer springs but I would't know the weight rating. I thin stock is like 18 lbs. - Small spring hard to tell, maybe the firing pin spring. If it is light then yes probably firing pin. - Yes, slide stop pin for not slide lock.
  13. When I compared a TSO to a TS2 side-by-side, the grips were very similar but I liked the TS2's a little more. Probably because there's a bit more relief to the rear tang and under trigger guard...it pointed a little bit better for me. Maybe a hair longer front-to-back, but not night-and-day difference and only the lower half of the grip. Frame and grip width will be same, so different grip panels will likely have the same effect for either. Put it this way, if I were only interested in shooting with iron sights, I would have gone with the TS2. But since I specifically wanted an optics gun for plates and steel, I went with the Orange.....hence why I'm passing on the Green for now until they come out with a compatible optics mount, otherwise it'd be in my hand as we speak.
  14. There was a really wide one that had its shelf sort of 'in between' the height of the regular old rectangular ones and the newer Shadow 2 style. I had a couple of those and grinned it down to comfort. It was okay, definitely better than the older low tab. And it was so long that you could essentially rock it on and off with the thumb on top. But the new Shadow 2 style is the best of all of them. ETA: this is the one.... https://czcustom.com/cz-parts-all/safeties/cz-tactical-sports-cz-ts-extended-ambi-safety-lhs.html And for the right side (lefty strong thumb): https://czcustom.com/cz-parts-all/safeties/cz-ts-extended-ambi-safety-rhs.html Once shaved down a bit not bad. Had one on an SP01 frame, but they make for Orange too... But again yeah, the Shadow 2 style is still better.
  15. That's what I was thinking, it wouldn't need much...probably just a shallow/narrow channel. But I don't want to bother so I'm sticking with my Orange for now. Maybe down the road. ETA: Now on the CZ Custom site listings for the mounts....
  16. Also, I did actually try the mount on an SP01 and even though off center I was able to adjust the dot to zero, and I put on a Vortex Venom. It felt a little weird but probably something you could get used to. But I think that 5-hole mount that I posted will do the trick on a TS2. I just checked with my TSO and it would center if just mounted on the frame with no cutout. Only thing is that it puts the red dot a bit higher than the 'on-the-floor' mount for the Orange/Czechmate. Also, with recent findings on slide/frame dimensions, you want to check if a side mount will still clear the slide even when mounted on the frame with no cutouts, since the TS2's slide flares out pretty widely.
  17. Thank you! This is good to know for anyone thinking the same as me....much appreciated!
  18. Yeah it would seem just same mount as before but with some extra clearance above the slide/frame line.
  19. I have one locally which I was just about to pick up tomorrow.... but then I started looking into this and from what I can tell there'd be an issue using the same side-mount optics plate as the Orange. Will just link to the post I made on another forum....am I nuts in thinking this? https://czfirearms.us/index.php?topic=118365.msg921778#msg921778
  20. Nice. I think he is looking for the 'newer' style extended safety, which is the same one as first introduced on the Shadow 2 and I think comes standard on the Orange, Czechmates and TS2's. Yeah that older rectangular one with the tab on the bottom was a mess....too low for strong thumb and could stick into hand on the left side. These Shadow 2 types can have a completely flat lever on the off-side which is nice.
  21. Yup, he's already using his older TS's in Open with them.
  22. I've ordered several times from Cesar-shop and it was fine. DHL in about a week, but that was a few years ago before the coof et al. Same for Sebow as I've heard from others. Plus shipping to the US is really hight these days I assume.
  23. Might have to order from overseas.... https://cesar-shop.com/firearm-parts-en/pistol-en/frame-parts-en/cz-shadow-2-safety-wide-right-side-wing-en/ https://seboweapons.com/en/cz-spare-parts/163-cz-wide-safety-left-hand.html https://xrayparts.it/en/shadow-2-spare-parts/1328-cz-shadow2-wide-safety-right-wing-shadow-2tsts-orange-cz.html?search_query=cz+shadow+2+safety&results=23&cate=
  24. I think he's going to join up here sometime in the near future and feature his stuff. I just don't want y'all to steal his time away from making stuff for me!
