  1. Literally never had that happen in any of my CZs with well over 20,000 rounds with just the roll pin in. The only time that ever happened was when I first installed the CGW bushing on one and forgot to put the pin in and it popped off after 150 rounds or so and I barely noticed as the gun continued to function without the bushing.
  2. Wider, likely about the same as the palm swells but I don't have a caliper so idk. Very similar shape, the grid and checkering make it appear to be different but it's basically the same shape. No idea about how it shoots, every range in the tri-state area is shut down or extremely limited hours for Coronavirus and we have a stay at home order.
  3. Fire 4 Effect has a proprietary method for doing SRO mounting that is plateless. http://www.fire-4-effect.com/CZ-SHADOW-2-CARRY-OPTICS-BUILD_p_260.html
  4. More. I've been using the bogies for a couple years and these feel like I'm gonna need some lotion after each range trip.
  5. So I received them this morning and they feel fantastic. Looks really cool too, like a custom weapon skin from a videogame. I got the Aggressive version and it is insanely grippy. I'm slightly worried my delicate computer guy hands are going to grate off. Easily 2x more grip than the Henning aluminums that I also have. Added 9 oz of weight to my gun, it now feels like I'm holding a custom 2011 limited gun. Please note I have a Fire 4 Effect Shadow 2 so it weighed 41oz before the grips were added.
  6. Yeah I ordered a pair as soon as I saw the link above and mine arrive tomorrow. They look cool as hell with that patterning.

    Accu Shadow 2

You could just get a Shadow 2 and add the CGW bushing and have the same level of precision.
  8. Get a Shadow 2. The Shadow 1 platform is obsolete now.
  9. I haven't had the SRO long enough to give a great review on durability - I've only put about 500 down the pipe on it. It is a nice big glass but does have a bit more distortion than the Romeos. The Romeo on the S2 was great, went through 12,000 rounds with it and never had a hiccup. The Romeo on the S1 has been s#!t and I've replaced it 3 times already. Thankfully Sig has a good warranty program. If I were making recommendations I'd probably do the SRO on reputation and form factor, but you can't go wrong with either.
  10. The nice thing about it being poor is you can buy a few of them Fire 4 Effect full package cut for SRO with Lok grips and Henning basepads CZC AccuShadow milled by CGW for Romeo 1, hard chromed by APW, and finished with the limited edition Henning rainbow grips.
  11. The quarter of an inch height delta ain't gonna change your ability to find the dot
  12. Pretty sure CZC is the only one that does a universal plate, so if that's a sticking point then you've only got the one option. On the other hand, the RMR/SRO cut also works with Holosun so you've got 3 good optics that fit the pattern if you really think you're going to mix and match (highly unlikely).
  13. I've got a Shadow 2 with a Romeo 1 that's at 15,000 rounds and counting with no issues I've got a Shadow 1 with a Romeo 1 that I've replaced 3 times in the span of 2000 rounds due to cracking or the dot breaking down. It's a crapshoot, as said above.
  14. It's called the Athena and it's a slide-mounted optic version of the Hyperion, I believe. 9mm only.
  15. Just boil the gun and hang it up on a clothes line for a few hours
  16. If you're not sure you want to do it then just buy a milled slide from CGW they're selling them by themselves right now on their site.
  17. Just a word of warning, I'm looking at the shape of them at the bottom and I think you could get in trouble for having grips that form a makeshift magwell, which would be illegal in production and CO.
  18. I hate to say it but he's right. I was a big fan of the Romeo 1, I have it on 2 different CZs. I got a brand new one and mounted it on my AccuShadow. After 600 rounds I put it in the safe, then come back a week later and the dot was 3' (three FEET) off at 10yards from where it was set previously. It literally couldn't be adjusted back down to where it was aiming. I shipped it back and they sent me a brand new replacement a week later. I mounted that one and took it to the range. I put ONE round down range and the glass cracked. I sent the slide to Cajun to get looked at again thinking it could be an issue with the cut. They processed another warranty replacement on the sight. So now I'm on a 3rd Romeo. At least their warranty department works fast
  19. Romeo 3 would look pretty ridiculous on an S2, it's pretty wide.

    Disco revisited

Usually when the pretravel loosens it makes the DA longer, doesn't normally cause it to stop resetting.
  21. Anyone have any idea how to lighten that button press a little? I'm 13k rounds in and it is still pretty tough to do without really changing hand positions to give my thumb more leverage.
  22. 2.5 would be the better all around choice unless you're legally blind.
  23. Thanks guys, I also reached out to Adam and he confirmed the same as you all - no issues. He even sent pics of the factory PMC he was using today for a class.
  24. Hey guys, I'm looking at picking up a Titan in 40 soon but wanted to check in on something. Will the Titan be reliable and run well with good quality factory ammo? To put it in context, I don't have the ability to load my own ammo due to a few factors, so I'd have to use factory ammo like Syntech action pistol for matches and fiocchi for training. This would be my first 2011 purchase and I've heard some horror stories about the platform being picky on ammo in general so just wanted to clear the air. Please don't turn this into a discussion about whether I should reload or not - my local range doesn't allow handloads, I don't have the space in my work bench to put it and my wife would hate to see one of these progressive press monstrosities next to the laundry.
