Genius.
Wisdom like this is why I don't frequent this site.
The round in question is factory WWB. Less than ten rounds out of a new rifle to fragment the bolt.
Bolt went back to vendor. Vendor did not manufacture or finish the bolt but sold it as part of an assembly. Vendor did failure analysis and reported hydrogen embrittlment as the proximate cause.
Got two new assemblies in return. They are sitting in my spares box for use on somebody else's rifle.
Try again.
Prior to Ft. Benning this guy had four 21" vent-rib M1 barrels on his shelf. Brand new from Benelli.

What a useless mix of features.
FFP reticle on a low-power scope, stadia that get so small on low-power they can't be seen against a moving background making the optic useless for the purpose it is intended and illumination too dim to be effective.
Mine is going back to the custom shop to see if they will make it SFP or at the very least bolder stadia.
Other than the fact the optic is functionally useless in its intended role it's a fine, well-built scope.
Dallas Reloads speed varies quite a bit. If you like speed some of theirs is fast. Last 1K of 55gr FMJ ran 3350 through an Oehler 35P. Pretty hot stuff. Mine didn't blow primers but heard from other shooters that had problems.
** Need to edit that last. Mine did blow ONE primer that locked up the trigger on my SBR. Easy enough to pull the trigger pins and clean out but I put a DPMS "rug" in the bottom of the lower to keep that from happening again. **
Savage 12 Long Range Precision Varmint (LRPV) in .204 Ruger. Right-bolt left-port, three bolt receiver, HS aluminum bedding-block stock, small ejection port and best factory barrel.
6.5-300 WSM is called the Leopard. Speed burner. Easiest route is .270 WSM cases and Redding Comp dies. Redding sells a solid competition seating die that you run your chamber reamer in then send back to Redding for finishing. Going to be the next build.

Navistar International CXT pickup. Ford Super Duty dually bed on an International semi-tractor crew chassis. You got a half-ton, want a three-quarter ton and get the drools over a one-ton? How about a SIX TON bed capacity.
I drive by the Navistar International factory in Garland Texas every week and there's usually one of these parked on a ramp out front.
Doesn't Barnyard have one?
When are shootersw gonna figure out how to turn a CompM 45 degrees and use the battery compartment for a cqb iron sight?
If you are using an Aimpoint why in the hell are you looking for a CQB reference anyway? It is a CQB sight
Yeah, but when the battery compartment is ON TOP you don't even have to look THROUGH IT, just sight over the top of the battery compartment. For me it's fast. Try it sometime.
Yesterday the shellplate on my 650 gave up the ghost. One of the case retaining rings fractured and would spit a case at the priming station.
It was 4pm Saturday December 23rd. Called Dillon to see if there was a message on their answering machine saying when they would be back after the holidays.
SATURDAY AFTERNOON TWO DAYS BEFORE CHRISTMAS AND THEY WERE THERE!
Offered to pay for the part I broke but they said its warrantied and they are sending a replacement.
I'm a Dillon customer for life.
