Anyone add grip tape for support hand placement?

When inserting a new mag from slide lock, occasionally my slide will fall. While not a problem in competition, does worry me little during practice or range fun. Do see some slight wear below feed ramp as well. Any advice appreciated.

Anyone tried this pistol? Good looking pistol. Thought it would be fun for steel challenge. Probably not the right gun for USPSA carry optics. Got a smoking deal on it available to me. Interested in the forum thoughts on this.

I agree, but feeling comfortable with a gun will lead to improved accuracy and desire to practice. Some guns just “feel right” while others don’t. -
