  1. + 1 on the brownells bolt. I have 2 that run great. Also have a Lead Star Arms that works really well.
  2. The issue with triggers not resetting is the pcc bolts aren't all made the same. Some don't have a tall enough hammer cocking area to reset certain triggers. I have found that the Brownells bolt and the Lead Star arms will run any trigger that I have tried. I have also read that the taccom bolt has worked well with most triggers out there but I don't have personal experience like the other two I mentioned.
  3. I would use the jp ez trigger if I was running a jp bolt. I have several guys at my range that that run jp bolts and had issues with hyperfire's not resetting also. The jp trigger is guaranteed by jp to work with their bolt. I run the ez trigger now and love it. Probably have 5000 rounds shot with it and 0 malfunctions.
  4. The Noveski 60° is awesome. I run them on my 3 pcc's and 3 gun rifle.
  5. I run otis dry film on my pcc's. They run like a wet gun but without the mess. Carbon also just wipes off with little to no effort. Edit- I've been running it for 5 years now.
  6. A friend of mine that is a machinist is actually who found his bolt to not be tall enough and told me. When I measured mine I had the same issue. Most companies I think copy the old colt design spec and roll with it. The problem with that is that the colt 9mm originally used a different hammer that was a little taller but very similar height wise to a milspec hammer. Most of the aftermarket triggers are made for a standard AR-15 bcg and not the colt 9mm bolt that has a shorter cocking area. I'm glad to share the info so people don't have to spend a bunch of money on trying to find a trigger that works like I did when the problem is more than likely the bolt.
  7. I have had a similar problem before with a AR gold trigger in one of my pccs. What I found to be the issue wasn't the trigger its actually the bolt. Most of the 9mm bolts on the market are made to the spec of the people selling them instead of a set standard. So you see lots of variance in them. The issue with the ones that won't reset the trigger is due to the area that cocks the hammer not being tall enough. I have four different bolts and they are all different heights. I have two bolts that will reset any trigger that I have tested. A Lead Star Arms and a Brownells. Both are almost Identical to the faxon gen 2 bolt. There are a few guys on the forums that have added a weld to their bolt to make it reset the trigger. I don't remember exactly where I saw it but they posted pics and explained what they did. Hope this helps.
  8. Impressive! Not too far from 100%
  9. Will you post your USPSA # CalTeacher? I'd like to look you up.
  10. Nice! It took me a few years to make GM.
  11. Also I did say if it would have shot the way it does now out of the box it wouldn't be a issue. I refer back to my results post.
  12. All that is irrelevant now and in the past. I am simply sharing my results.
  13. You will have to explain that one to me? I don't understand why you would think this?
  14. MBX posted their results and didn't get hammered for doing so. I think it's only fair that I get a chance for the same. I am just posting my results. As far as I understand that is not a crime or against any rules. I'm sorry if some don't agree with the results.
  15. Yes I did shoot all the brands they did and some others. You will have to go back and read my results post because it has all the info you are asking for.
  16. Why all the agression towards me? I never said it is or was impossible to get the results that mbx did. I did say that I would post my results with a similar setup and test as mbx did and that is exactly what I did. I can't help it if you disagree or don't like my results.
  17. I did put a 4 power scope on it. Fyi I shoot F-class 600 yard matches too. I can shoot a 2in 5 shot group at 600 with a F-class rifle. But I did have a buddy of mine who only shoots F-class shoot it also and the results were about the same. His best group was just over 1 in and worst was about 2.5 in with 115 Winchester white box. Here are the pictures of my buddy's groups
  18. I'm pretty sure I can shoot. Here is my USPSA # if you would like to look me up A104151. Also look at it in steel challenge. As far as the scope I don't think that is realistic to put a high magnification scope on it since PCC's are shot with reddots.
  19. This is a target that I shot after the barrel came back from MBX. The dots are 1.5 inches for reference.
  20. There is no doubt the barrels are shooting better now than they original did. I still don't understand what caused the change to go from the large groups to how they shoot now. Here are the targets that were shot from the black mbx barrel when it was shot for the first time. The aiming point was middle of the A zone shot from a bench 25 yards with a red dot. The ammo tested was Winchester white box 115 , Delta Precision 124 fmj, Remington UMC 115 and 135 blue bullet handloads. Shot by me. Also a pic of the barrel Duracoated by me to match the JP rifle. As far as buying the barrels to test and send back that seems pretty imaginative to me. I Duracoated my dads barrel as a Christmas present to him. If the intention was to send it back after testing to get a refund it would seem silly to have me paint it for him. At the end of the day a component was purchased from Shooter's made by MBX. It didn't shoot well which is why all this happened and it was sent back to mbx for inspection. The barrel now shoots around 1.5 to 2in groups with most of the factory ammo that I have tested shooting 5 shot groups with a 4x scope. I will occasionally get right around 1in with factory ammo. With the right handloads I can duplicate mbx results. If the barrel shot this way at first we wouldn't even be having this discussion.
  21. I haven't but they look pretty cool. Too bad they don't make one for the 40 round pmags.
