None.
What primers? Did you take a close look at the FP nose? Just curious.

I think you two are onto something. The extended safety in the box came with a right and left side that I had to bang with a hammer and punch to get apart. Do you think it may be as easy as pounding the left side of the safety selector into the right side while I pull back the safety detent plunger? I think there's a detent behind the right side of the safety switch too. I'll have to lay the gun on its right side to keep the right side of the switch stationary and pound on the pin from the left side while the left side detent is pulled to the rear. I'll probably need a second pair of hands. What a pain in the ass.
If you’ve got a vice or a c-clamp that’ll be a bit more controlled than a hammer and frees up a hand.
personally I would take both of the levers out and confirm fit before forcing it
-
Did you confirm the “D” shaped end of the pin fits into the right side of the safety freely? I’ve had a few safety sets that were a slight interference fit.

11.5# hammer spring.
I tried the 8.5# but it felt a little bit kinda mushy.
13# will slow the slide down a little bit more if you can tolerate the heavier DA pull

What hammer spring? I find that is a big part of the equation.

Czechmate slide stop pin is my choice for CO as slide lock isn’t a thing nor do my mags reliably lock the slide back.

Correct, and I guess that one IS NOT approved for Production/CO?
That is correct, not yet approved for production/CO

Red_Dot, Thanks. What is really strange is on their web site (CZ Custom) they show the Bull Shadow as you describe and then there is the NEW Bull Shadow with the dust cover and the rail.
The only one that matches your description is the SP01 Bull Shadow https://czcustom.com/new-firearms/cz-pistols-custom.html

Stuart
what is the difference between the two?
I own one of each.
Shadow2 Bull uses a Shadow2 frame that’s blended to the contour of the Bull slide. It’s also got a dust cover with a mounting rail. Comes with 3 17rnd mags
Bull Shadow uses a CZ75 Frame without a dust cover or rail. Comes with 2 16 round mags
Shadow2 is considerably more nose heavy and feels larger in the hand.

My CZC Bull Shadow blued slide showed holster wear pretty quickly but it never bothered me.

Thanks, figured it was as I use a Glock 34 and I remember when the whole MOS non MOS and different Gen made a difference though at the rate they push those vs. say a SP01 Bull it wasn’t an issue for long.
Will have to mail them and see how close they are to getting a SP01 Bull on the list I am considering swapping platforms and I really like the SP01
Aside from the rail, is there a reason you prefer the SP01 over the standard Bull Shadow? I think the frame has some checking differences but that’s easily made up with a little grip tape.

The 75 Bull Shadow is
doesn’t specifically state a SP01 Bull Shadow ( with the rail) or Shadow2 Bull Shadow (48+ounces) is.
Or are all three models considered a 75 ?
sorry for confusing the situation.
They are independent and different pistols so the SP01 Bull is NOT approved for USPSA production currently.

It seems that they are not going to put the paperwork in to make them Production Legal.
Some of the slides are milled to fit in any 75b/Shadow 2 frame.
Yes but the S2 frame doesnt blend with the rear of the slide without modification to the frame. It’s VERY obvious when the BullShadow slide is put on a stock S2 frame.
And by paperwork, you mean producing 2000 publicly available pistols, correct?

I wish I had enough time to get better at shooting. Instead I just blow money on cool guns that collect dust in the safe while I try to maintain a declining skill set shooting a local once a month if I'm lucky. Adulting is tough, but at least I haven't resorted to shooting PCC. Yet.
I’m feeling very attacked by this.
and this reminds me, I have to reinstall my 24c in my MPX that I have yet to shoot in a match.

Anything that fits the P09/10 series will work.
-
Bought a new unfired upper assembly for $650 a while ago. Sold that slide with milling, DPP and other bits for $1050 shipped recently.
it completely depends what your gonna want to do with the gun after. Bull Shadow slide on an S2 frame isn’t USPSA production/CO legal.

sorry for my ignorance here, but several people have mentioned chopping or cutting a mag down to length. Would you have to take a section out and weld it back together?
If you had the means to anneal, bend, harden and finish the Basepad tabs I’m sure you could simply cut the proper profile and bend them but it’s not just a bandsaw type job.
-
There’s a couple things to check.
is the next round in the mag creeping forward and hanging up on the inside of the frame?
is your trigger bar spring riding properly in the grooves on the bottom side?
-
Have you checked your trigger bar spring to make sure they’re still in the groves on the bottom?
-
Getting holsters to accommodate the rules for Prod and CO while still fitting this “*thumb rest [generic]*” could be a pain.

What am I missing? Is the CZC gun much lighter than the S2?
The Shadow2 is 5oz heavier than the Bull shadow to start with and adding the optic actually reduced the weight of the slide by about a half oz.

CZ CO basepad
in CZ
9 minutes ago, mont1120 said:The CZC basepads with the CZ tubes just passed the measurement fit gauge at the Inland Empire match. I am not sure what you mean by traditional?
Are you sure you’re not talking about the “CZ Custom Short Basepad”? That fits the 140mm gauge on a CZ 18 round tube. The “CZ Custom Long Basepad” will not

Nice gun, cool to see something different. Whats the difference in weight of the brass verses regular ssi grips?
Normal Scales - 42 grams
brass scales - 120 grams
Henning grips - 53 grams
Stock CZC grips - 52 grams

I wanted to share a build that’s currently in progress and will likely continue to be tinkered with.
I snagged this pistol for a really good deal shortly after it was approved for USPSA Production and instantly started planning to putting an optic on it. I was previously shooting a Shadow 2 with a dot and after handling the Bull Shadow, I could tell where the Shadow 2 was working against me. The frame and particularly the checkering on the front/back straps of the Shadow 2 added girth that my extremely Medium sized hands wasn’t fond of. Additionally, the hump on the backstrap was fighting against my palm/thumb area unevenly when gripping hard and it showed when i compared groups at distance. Finally, the Bull Shadow has a center of balance much closer to the grip area which just feels better to me in general.
The current modification list is short because it comes very well appointed from CZC, but I just can’t leave well enough alone...
Romeo 3 optic (3MOA)
SSI Scales 2.0 grips in Brass
10lb recoil spring (Match ammo)
13lb recoil spring (factory 124gr ammo)
11lb hammer spring
CZ Czechmate Slide Stop Pin
CZC 140mm Basepads on 16rnd tubes
Future Modifications under consideration
CZC Short Reach Trigger
Extra Large Safety Levers
Progressive recoil spring

You absolutely CAN (and should) tinker but you don’t HAVE TO by any means (assuming you’re looking at a proper competition pistol).
