Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I have a gen3 19 for my EDC.. Stock, 25c trigger job, and I removed finger grooves, undercut trigger guard... no stippling. Alphas all day at 25.. Just took me probably 10k dryfires and only 1k rounds just to prove a point to a guy at work who's gotta mod everything before Learning how to use his damn finger and grip the glock correctly.. haha. I love glocks.. I love shooting other people's glocks better than them even better. Would love to get a gen 5 but, commiefornia and I don't want to pay 1300 for an off list. Anyways, I'm not Half the shooter as the people in this thread, just a guy with alot of glock bite and experience with factory glocks. They shoot fine with stock parts and a trigger job. Cheers!
  2. Yes, I understand that . Just wondering if anyone has used any BUIS and has a recommendation for the 1/3 co-witness. I do have QD mount, a ton of Unity mounts also, more so just looking for someone who's used that eotech and 1/3 BUIS. Thank You
  3. Hello all , been a while since I posted.. I'm trying to get some recommendations for 1/3 cowitness with the EOTech EXPS2-2 On my ar. Price is not an issue. I just see some that look bulky and some that look like they would be hard to utilize in a high-speed/low drag run
  4. She was my aunt.. tought me about shooting with my uncle Rod.. I grew up with them and thought Rods passing was tough, not sure how this will be.. she was my dads sister, my shooting mentor and the mom I never really had. Thank you for this post, it was heart warming.. All my heros are gone.. -Robert W.
  5. G19.. small, stock trigger feels safe as well as I shoot it regularly to stay familiar
  6. It was an idea from Rob Latham.. and also JJ Racazza. The idea is, to not think about pulling the trigger . We shouldn't think about it unless we're doing bullseye.. im not saying use poor trigger control. Start slow, work faster. Your either pushing it left, yanking or pushing straight back. I'm sure you guys are better than me, thanks for the feedback..
  7. Have you tried.. Just sitting on the couch, watching something you really like.. and , of course prepare the area and weapon for safe manipulation.. then, just watch your show/movie.. and while doing that, just rack and squeeze/push trigger back.. do this as frequently as you can.. going faster and faster. After a week of this, 1 hour minimum a day, you wont be thinking about the trigger.. just bring gun to eye quickly with great intention and push out, as soon as the front dot gets between your eyes path to target, fire.. do bill drills after you spend a week with the mental training.. you might be suprised.. could just be mental.. Dont look at the gun while watching the movie.. just rack, fire.. faster and faster.. it works
  8. As a new shooter, my glock was shooting all over.. flinching, anticipating the bang , yanking.. After about 3k dryfire's I started grouping, low left consistently.. asked some other shooters at the range for help, shot thier 1911s.. all center groups.. they took my glock, hammerd the rear sight to the right , and now im grouping in point of aim area.. after another 2k dryfire's im doing very well for myself with a glock.. last month was my 5k + dryfire .. I do minimum 50 a day.. everyday.. sometimes more, I dont count after 50 with a shot timer.. now when I shot a 1911.. money.. Cheers!. Still haven't joind USPSA yet, my county just got a club last winter.. im getting gear together.. cheers
  9. I think nothing is as important a factor in shooting accurately and with precision as dryfire.. I do 1000+ dry fires a month. Each day, I have a routine after work that includes 50 minimum dryfire's using a shot timer. Weekends live fire and dryfire before bed.. its that fun..it developed my ability to point shoot off the draw, slap the trigger without moving the gun, and most importantly, my grip strength is incredible now.. I can most likely break my glock if I wanted to squeeze hard enough.. its not hard to dryfire 1k a month.. DO IT Dryfire..dryfire..more dryfire
  10. Thank you for all your clarity and sharing the stuff that took you years to learn.. you're mentoring is appreciated.. I think speak for all the noobs, Thank You!
  11. Going to be shooting production Glock.. I still have stock trigger.. soon as I can remember the rules, I will use them to my fullest advantage.. So many amazing people helping in this post.. I love this community!
  12. What a treasure trove of information.. Most epic post ever.. just following this post I am improving!! The biggest thing for me is.. only pulling the trigger enough to fire.. and not pinning it all the way back..then I can reset/pull smoother.. this week is all about that.
  13. Great point..I have been fortunate to get mentoring from some great family members who most the old shooters prolly know anyways.. So im generalizing.. but definitely preparing for that chapter in my life so I can commit 110% when I hear that buzz for the first time ?.. plus, I need to build a gun room still. ( want* )
