  1. Both optics have the same mounting footprint, but the XL is wider by 5mm. https://www.sigsauer.com/romeo3max-1x30-mm.html Max: "Objective lens diameter 30mm" https://www.sigsauer.com/romeo3xl-1x30-mm.html XL: "Objective lens diameter 35mm"
  2. How was the TPC course? I was looking at it, but 5 days seems like a LOT. I recently took a 2 day class and was absolutely finished at the end of day 2.
  3. The Dawson Precision mag release is fine: https://benstoegerproshop.com/2011-sti-mag-release-by-dawson-precision/ Just make sure you get the one that is drilled for 4-40 To answer the original question: I use the Limcat paddle on my PT Evo grip and I love it.
  4. You say you're having these issues after only 5 matches? That's odd. Have you cleaned your mags at all? Is it possible that they got dirt in them and it's causing the follower to drag?
  5. I couldn't get the bolt to cycle reliably with CCI SV and a comp in my mk IV 22/45 Lite. Ended up just taking it off entirely, and I don't really miss it. How did you manage it?
  6. I recently got some Eley ammo to try in my new SC barrel. Functioned great, but it felt like it was loaded pretty hot. Seems like it would be around 175PF as the poster above mentioned. Even with a RN bullet it was still accurate.
  7. While we're here and talking about it, I think that limited should follow Open's rules for major - i.e. .355" bullet diameter and up. You can get an extra 3-4 rounds in your mag if you're willing to beat your gun to hell AND deal with stupid recoil. Although I suppose 38 super/supercomp might be more tolerable than 9mm major in an un-comped gun. I'm sure as hell not going to try it.
  8. Thanks for this advice from years ago @CHA-LEE Shot it this way today and got a smokin’ fast 4.53, albeit probably a little *too* fast because I shot 50 points. Still good enough for 86% in open and my first M classifier!
  9. Those are all good points. I also have to eat my words a little; I went to the range for a practice session yesterday after posting that, and started to have FTE issues when shooting SHO/WHO. No problems with freestyle shooting, but I wager that the accumulated crud probably slowed the slide down a bit.
  10. Just curious: have you ever tried not cleaning your gun between a few matches or practice sessions? I ask because, like you, I've been cleaning my gun after every match ever since I got it. However, I'm running an experiment right now to see how long it can go between cleanings before problems start to crop up. I didn't clean it after a two day class, as well as a range practice session afterward, so right now it's sitting at about 1k rounds since the last cleaning.
  11. Howard Leight foam earplugs, Peltor Comtac electronic protection on top.
  12. If you're comfortably exceeding PF, does a variance of 0.05gr really matter that much? Like, is this an issue that could really affect your round's performance? I'm genuinely curious.

    Classic C-more or RTS-2?
  14. In open, a frame mount is almost always preferable. If you shoot CO then you don’t really have a choice - you have to mount the dot on the slide.
  15. For open: Romeo3XL CO: Probably Trijicon SRO PCC: I don’t know. Probably Romeo3XL again
  16. That sounds pretty brutal. Not gonna lie
  17. I wasn't there but I watched my buddy's match video. Those swingers they used certainly looked tough, and I saw more than a few guys take mikes on those stages.
  18. Yeah, I feel the same way. It would be helpful if someone were to make a thread that compiled rule infractions unique to PCC that you might not see if you're just used to running pistol shooters.
  19. If he turned the dot on, that's a cut and dry violation of 10.5.19 as others have pointed out.
  20. I shoot factory 9mm with a 6lb recoil spring and single port comp.
  21. I've played around with various SHO/WHO methods for the past six months, and after working them into nearly every dry fire session I've found that for me that the fastest and most accurate method is the bullseye-style stance for drawing to targets, but keeping square to targets when you transition hands after a freestyle reload. I find that blading your body and grabbing your shirt with the non-firing hand makes for a much easier index off of the draw, but it adds unnecessary time if you take a step back after a reload. It's not much time, maybe 0.2-0.3s, but enough that you want to seek to eliminate it. So if I'm doing something like "six shots freestyle, reload, six shot SHO", I'll stay square to the targets after the reload. One other thing I've noticed is that it's slightly easier (for me at least) to shoot towards my body instead of away from it when doing one-handed shooting. What I mean is that when shooting SHO, it's easier for me as a right hander to shoot targets right-to-left, and left-to-right when shooting WHO.
  22. How often do you visualize stages before shooting? You really shouldn’t be thinking about anything while shooting a stage, it should be pretty much automatic
  23. These are super helpful for dry firing swingers and other specialty targets that you don’t get to work very often. Perhaps they’re also useful if you can’t really set up a dry fire space for whatever reason. Beyond that, I think their utility is a bit limited. Wish I knew what software they were using so I could build some of these.
