I just got an RHT holster last week for my Beretta LTT. Pretty disappointing for a $85 holster. Took a fair amount of dremel work to get it to fit properly as well as a good debur and polish on all the edges.
id rather have a Comptac international
Nothing on their 1911's is proprietary. All standard 1911 parts. Also a better fit/quality parts than anything sub $1000 from ruger, springfield, kimber, RIA, remington, etc...
Curious to why you say no to Bul. I know 4 people that have them as well as myself and none have had issues.
Machined sear, disconnector and hammer. Front strap checkering. Competition sights. Good grips and good trigger. Also come with 2 good 10rd mags.
Our club just ordered about 12 pieces of MGM forward falling mini poppers with the “upgraded” hook. We are having a ton of trouble getting them to stay set.
we have tried:
-adjusted the hook(both directions)
-leveled the ground beneath them perfectly
-applied a soft thin rubber strip to help the hook hold the popper.
it’s to the point that I’m not going to even use them in matches. Any one else use them and have some tips?
I have a classic government from Bul in 9mm. I have been loving it. I ordered it from Gilbert Perez and it comes with “Dawson” style sights and G10 grips.
I added a Dawson IPSC magwell and an Ed Brown mag release and that’s it. It’s perfect out of the box. 3lb trigger.
I’ve had a fusion CCO and it was fine. Didn’t put a ton of rounds through it but seemed well built.
I just bought a Bul classic 1911 in 9mm and love it. It’s ready to go minus a magwell. Check them out from GParms.
the magwell for my Legion was within the width limitations of what IDPA allows. I did stick it in my mill and make it shallower though so I could insert the mags more positively.
I don't see the issue with the 5x5. Its quick and easy to set up/tear down. It still tests your shooting and gun manipulation. It must not be too easy...plenty of folks still SS and MM
I'm not expert with a pcc but i am a master......(dad joke?) My only claim to fame is winning GA State IDPA in PCC this year.
Quit chasing recoil reduction. having a gun that functions 100% of the time is the most important part.
Hopefully you have a shot timer and a place to practice. Just push yourself. Set up drills and par times. When you hit your par time for that particular drill. Lower it .1 sec and try again. Figure out what your weakness's are and work on those.
Not sure your experience shooting a red dot. Don't wait for it to settle before pulling the 2nd shot.
Got mine finally done like I wanted. I started having some FTE when I installed the blitzkrieg buffer and the 308 carbine spring with my 138 pf loads. I went to a standard AR15 carbine spring and that issue seems to have gone away.
Really enjoying the gun. Getting close to 2,000 rounds on it now.
I had that happen the first time I shot my SBR scorpion. I couldnt figure out why I was getting mikes. Then I realized my barrel was behind the barrel stack...
