  1. not a single issue with my steel rival. My wife's poly rival had a ton of feeding issues with factory recoil spring(even with me shooting it). A 15lb glock spring fixed that. neither are ammo picky. They are both VERY accurate. I normally shoot 125 BBI around 1.105" and 134PF
  2. Looks like some light leading. Get some chore boy scrubbing pads from the hardware store/grocery store and it will come right out.
  3. Marginally thicker in some spots
  4. Anyone that owns a rival S, have you stuck it in the SSP box? I’ve got a tier 4 match in July and I’d like to shoot the rival.
  5. Mine went from 4lbs factory to 2.5 with the 29 newton striker spring and the reduced safety plunger spring.
  6. The SAO P226 is too wide to be legal for IDPA. You would need to machine down one of the safety levers.
  7. So my gun has this issue too. Didn’t notice it til an IDPA match. My gun will auto forward and the slide would hang up on the back of the magazine. you can see in the picture of the bottom of my slide, the magazine rear lip was rubbing pretty good. a quick stint with a dremel fixed the issue. Some required a tiny bit and some required a lot. Just a bummer I had to grind on all my $35 magazines. this happened with the mecgar plastic basepads, the aluminum canik basepads and some henning basepads.
  8. My wife’s rival was the same with a captured 15lb Glock spring. I tried in uncaptured and it’s been 100%. Don’t know why but it worked!
  9. i've got a cheap stainless off ebay for a gen 3 glock 17
  10. my one complaint is they don't get dark enough. maybe my eyes are just really sensitive to sunlight. I find myself having to switch to sunglasses during a match if its really sunny
  11. Dropping to a 15 pound recoil spring fixed my wife’s. Running like a champ now.
  12. Double check your reading. It’s .010” off.
  13. If you have multiple magazines and several that work. Isolate the ones that don’t and make them like the ones that do. Or…….. buy a couple more new ones. They aren’t expensive
  14. Fix it sticks. the OR model uses a steel plate. I used blue loctite and 15 inch pounds
  15. Not sure anyone is going to take their time to help now. Good luck!
  16. I’m having bad issues with my wife’s rival. It stovepipes and double feeds terribly. tried 4 different kinds of ammo. 5 different mags. thought it was her limp wristing but it happens with me as well. Going to try a lighter recoil spring. Extractor looks good and springy but I will take it out tonight and inspect it closer. my rival S has been flawless so far.
  17. I run the mecgars in my 9mm and 45. No issues ever and they are cheap. Come with good basepads too
  18. I just did 36 grit on the S. Factory grip is way too slick.
  19. Anyone have 2-3 extra of the factory aluminum basepads they want to get rid of? Might shoot some production/IDPA with the Rival and Canik says they aren't selling any rival parts yet. Thanks
  20. He has an option for the rival-s. That’s what I ordered. Fingers crossed
  21. Sounds like one issue is that your rounds are possibly too long. My 125 BBI barely passes plunk at 1.110"
  22. Just got my rival-S today. What’s the go to holster? Smokey Mountain? Really don’t like RHT but I will if I have to.
  23. I machined mine flat. Didn’t want to spend the $90 for a new set.
  24. I know this is old but I used them to mill a M&P I had a couple years ago. Flawless experience.
