  1. Middys with 2 3/16" holes Full size with 2 3/16" holes Same power factor with the below loads. The full size is older and has a lot more rounds through it so I guess the barrel might be slowing down or might have been slower from the start. 115gr MG JHP 10.5 gr AA7 1.165 OAL Fed SPP 115gr PD JHP v2 10.7gr AA7 1.165"OAL Fed SPP Both loads make 172pf but the PD bullets are shorter than the MG so it seems that it needed more powder to compensate. I do get the cornmeal
  2. I ran into the same issue at carry optics nats. Got some MBX mags for my Tanfo. They initially tested okay. But then did not work on the first stage I used them on. Upon further testing, two failure modes observed. One was the same as described in the first post with a weak mag spring likely the culprit as the mag was not presenting the round with the correct timing for the slide. The slide would then jam up the round as it came forward. The second was two rounds wedged side by side midway or a little further down in the mag body. This seems like a tolerance/dimension issue with the mag body lower down, different that what we've typically seen with just the mag lips à la 2011 magazines. On the other hand, stock/mec-gar mag bodies, henning extended basepads, and the new mbx 24 "UM" followers allowed for 24+1. Seemed to be reloadable, although I did not try reloading into a full mag. You could load 24 into a magazine by hand if you wanted to, and there was still some space for that 24th round to depress. They worked flawlessly for 14 out of 15 stages that I used them on. On my last stage, maybe 7 rounds into the magazine, a round got caught vertically between the mag body and the follower, preventing the follower from presenting any more rounds and turning it into a salt shaker. Not sure how that happened or how to fix that one. Maybe extending the ribs as mentioned above.
  3. One factor could be a slow lot of AA7. My latest jug required .2gr more for the same pf as the previous jug. But I'm still under 11gr. Your OAL and bullet choice could be another factor. Yet another factor could be primers. I found CCI SPP to be 1-3pf slower than Fed SPP. CCI SRP and Fed SPP about the same. 10.5gr AA7 with 115 MG JHPs at 1.165" to 170pf 10.7gr AA7 with 115 PD V2 JHPs at 1.165" to 170pf All with new Starline brass and Fed SPP The PD V2s are shorter than the MGs and when loaded to the same OAL, they needed an additional .2gr to match the pf. It would be .2gr less for any of the above if it were my old batch of AA7. Middy with 2 port comp and 2 poppels.
  4. The Aero EPC-9 LRBHO feature is in their upper. I don't think Taccom has it in their upper. You lack the components to have LRBHO. That being said, I have an Aero based PCC and a QC10 based PCC, both of their LRBHO are not reliable. Have tried with stock and extended Glock mags and Magpul mags. I yanked the LRBHO guts from my competition PCC but was hoping to make it work with non competition PCC. Oh well.
  5. Hope this helps. You might even get away with using a pen spring or something similar.
  6. I bought the "015XL" direct from safariland about 2-3 weeks ago. received a "regular" one without muzzle support. not sure if they've actually released it yet. the pictures on the website still do not show it. doesn't matter to me though. great holster. just have to make sure it plays nice with your mag paddle if you have one installed.
  7. 115gr plated 1.125" OAL 3.9gr ASP Fed SPP Mixed Brass 12" Barrel 4" Brekke CompXtension 135.9 PF at Mid-Atlantic 135.8 PF at Area 8 3.8gr ASP was around 130 PF, but my SD/ES were cut in half (20 to 10 SD) at 3.9gr. The outside of the fired cases are still very sooty at 3.9gr. I don't think theres enough powder for the most efficient/clean burn at these levels. Meanwhile my pistol loads (135gr FMJ, 3.9gr ASP, 134.5 PF) are pretty clean out of a 4.6" barrel.
  8. I have that Taccom Bolt. It works great at keeping LRBHO with Blitzkreig 5015HD and SS spacer. But if you want to short stroke it even further, LRBHO will not work. But it still works to reset my Hiperfire trigger.
  9. These are the only adapters I've seen for the Stock 2 OR so far, but sadly still no RMR/SRO pattern. Also, unsure if the overhang of the SRO would prevent it front sitting in the cutout, depending on how deep the slide cut is. https://benstoegerproshop.com/tanfoglio-burris-fastfire-vortex-venom-viper-red-dot-optic-adapter-plate/ https://benstoegerproshop.com/tanfoglio-leupold-deltapoint-pro-red-dot-optic-adapter-plate/ https://benstoegerproshop.com/tanfoglio-sig-romeo-1-red-dot-optic-adapter-plate/
  10. maybe they can do something for you
  11. For anybody using 95-100gr plated, where are you getting your bullets from? Berrys 100gr plated are only rated to max 1250fps which would be min power factor. need a little more headroom.
  12. I was having light strike issues with anything else besides the stock spring when I was using the PD firing pin. I then tried the Extreme Medium Spring (which is harder than the 15.5lb PD), but less than the stock spring, and still had occasional light strikes even on factory Federal Syntech. I tried testing without the FPB to make sure that wasn't the issue, but the problem persisted. At wits end, I put the factory firing pin back in and all my problems went away.
  13. thats sweet! now im trying to find out if a R3 Max/XL will fit in the factory cutout.
  14. Any further testing with the AR Gold? Very interested to hear your experience once it’s really up and running, especially vs the CMC.
  15. assuming that mag was also used for the live fire testing that was shown in the videos, that should mean the dwx full size would take legacy (and new) P-09 mags, no?
  16. This will also have to qualify under the production numbers for CO (and Prod) for a new model, right?
  17. The R3 Max/XL have the mounting of the RTS2, but the footprint is larger with the angled front part of the housing, no? Isn't that why 2011 optic mounts with blast shields had to be made for R3 Max/XL?
  18. I just hope it makes CO USPSA weight without having to be milled. 2.69lbs (43.04oz) + optic and extended basepad might be tight.
  19. Will this be optic only? No option for iron sights? Haven't seen any photos of it with a rear sight
  20. After trying stock, wolff, PD, and xtreme, I'm using the xtreme medium the xtreme medium is a lot lighter than the stock spring (which I think is actually 18lb?), and it does not stack like stock. it is not that much heavier than the PD 15.5, but offered a lot more ignition reliability. for me, the range of wolff springs stacked a ton.
  21. that’s a good question. i assume it’ll have to be added to the production gun list and meet the quantity requirements if it’s a model variant and not custom milling on a regular stock 2
  22. it should definitely be easier to make weight than with a shadow 2, thats for sure!
  23. of course. politics. i'm guessing it was also walther that made the push for CO light and CO heavy in IPSC, seeing as they now have options for both divisions.
