did you reamer the comp? -
I'm sending in my old 650 to have it rebuilt and just moved over to and started using my new 650. I'm noticing lot more brass shaving than I used to seeing..Am I missing something with my setup? It's showing up on the plate and in the ammo catch box...trying ti figure out what I'm missing...loading for 9 major, Dillon Dies with Lee Usize..
Try using a different sizing die, i’m sure the shaving is cause by u-die. -
How do I set this thing up? The instructions that come with it say to screw it down all the way to the shell plate. So do I just put the press at the top of of it's stroke screw it down till it touches on the shell plate?
Also it seems like the press goes through a sticky spot bear the start of the stroke. Do I need to lubricate the ram? Or does that just need to wear in.
just watch it on youtube, theres lot of videos how to setup u die.. -
I am finding 9mm brass that has [emoji294]USA[emoji294] for a headstamp.
Anyone know who manufactures this ammo?
Great brass but definitely you will pay the price for it. -
I'm curious as to whether anyone can speak from experience as to whether a full tri-top that runs the length of the slide has any discernible impact on slide longevity versus a partial tri-top or flat-top only?
Partial tri-tops and flat-tops make sense as being cautious options, but I'm interested to hear if anyone here has had a reputable brand slide fully tri-topped and ran it for multiple tens of thousands of rounds. Have you had any issues with slide longevity or cracking near the lug area?
I like the full length Tri-Top cut, because i like the way how fast the slide cycles.. -
Going to buy a Hornady LNL for my match ammo (like to hand-prime since sometimes my 650 isn't priming deep enough..) my question:
what are considered to be the best 9mm dies at the moment?
Thank you!
i use Lee on my dillion.. -
Hi everyone! So, if you are looking for something reliable and with good performance, which of these three options will be better for an Open pistol? And, why?
- Atlas Gunworks Chaos
- Limcat Razorcat
- Bul Armory Bullesteros
with that three selections, without a doubt Atlas Gunworks. -
What magwells are you guys using for your M&Ps? I've seen a couple that are aluminum, but are there any brass ones out there?

Let's talk about powder spillage...
AA#7 is a super fine grain powder that leaks quite a bit around my powder bar causing:
-inconsistent charge weights
-mess/waste with powder spillage
-jams up movement of powder bar
-damages/galls powder bar
I tried my Arendondo powder bar that is a tighter fit and this helped some. Solved this problem completely when I was loading another fine grain powder (True Blue), but was not quite enough for AA#7 on my equipment (Dillon 550 & 1050).
Next I tried adding a piece of tape to the top of the powder bar spacer to tighten up the tolerances a little. First try with green painters masking tape (.005" thickness) was perfect. Loaded several hundred rounds since with MUCH more consistent charges and no powder spilled on top of my tool heads.
Call Dillion to send you a thicker spacer bar, it should solve the powder leakage problem on the powder bar. -
Thank You Everybody..

I'll be getting a 750XL tho. So do I need the EGW or are the Dillons crimp dies as good as anything
I use EGW U-Die and Lee Seating and Crimp dies on my RL 550C.. -
Has anyone tried one of those plastic extensions that attach to the spent primer cup? My spent primers will often go on the floor, onto the primer slide area or other parts of the machine. Very frustrating as it will frequently jam the primer slide.
Are there any known fixes to this problem?Has anyone tried one of those plastic extensions that attach to the spent primer cup? My spent primers will often go on the floor, onto the primer slide area or other parts of the machine. Very frustrating as it will frequently jam the primer slide.

Hey folks. I’m new to reloading. I shoot 9major in a Glock 17 4port comp and alpha wolf barrel. I’m having difficulty finding information on loading for a Glock in 9 major. I’m limited in oal to fit a Glock mag. Does anyone have experience or a reliable recipe? Thanks
I have a m&p open gun and i run 7.8 grn silhouette 124 PD JHP and 1.16 OAL.. -
Now that the weight limit for CO is raised to 59 ounces, what mods are there to bring the M&P (24 oz) in line with the weights of something like the p320 x5 legion (43.5 oz)?
I see Carver's tungsten guide rod at 2.5 oz, and Taylor freelance brass base pads at 5 oz - anything else?
Also saw on Facebook someone talking about making a metal backstrap adding 7 oz - not sure that's legal?
USPSA should allowed Magwell in CO, then purchase the sjc brass magwell, thats going to add few more ounces.. -
You sure about that? Silhouette is slower than hs6 according to hodgdon burn rate chart.
I agree, Silhouette is slower burning than HS6.. -
I have the Lee 9mm MAKAROV FCD (SKU 90807) and I can not get it to work with my Bulge Buster. The cases get stuck and no matter how much effort I use the case will not go through the die. And yes the Crimp portion is removed.
Its because the bottom of 9mm case are larger than the neck of the case.. -

I also having the same problems. -
I've been using 3n38 and it works...I was just wondering what other slow burning powders people use. The dot movement seems to be a lot with 3n38.
Vihtavuori N350 has the slowest burning powder in the market today.. -
Thinking of buying a (Jellyroll) open gun from Pat Rafferty, does anybody here in the forum purchase open gun from Rafferty Custom Guns, which open gun and what was the price range..
-
What caliber?
-
I like my crimp at .378 dia.

In stock at the Glock Store.
What about for the m&p full size? -
I received the new part referred to above by 12GLOCKS, JW Systems Primer Slide Bearing Track Plate. It remedys the problem of the bar sticking but I still have problems getting the primers to drop into the cup. I figure I need to bend the operating rod a bit as mentioned by SARGE. Any ideas on where and how much to bend it? A video would be great. I don't want to booger up the rod and have to call Dillon and then wait for another one.
Have you call Dillion customer service?
