  1. So I haven't really been able to find anything on this topic and I know there is a vast amount of information on the forum so it may be out there somewhere....anyways I am building a 2011 on a new Jem Guns frame and slide that just showed up and I now need to get the rest of the parts together to finish this thing up in the next year or whatever it takes. So when i am trying to get things like thumb saftey, slide stops beaver tails etc it seems like most parts are availible as either stainless or blued. Is there an advantage/disadvantage to using one or the other? I am not planning on blueing the gun when its completed, probably cerakote or somthing (haven't dug into that too much yet) But I am assuming that the stainless parts would be more raw or unfinished, but it is a different type of metal so i dont know if that would effect the finish/function of anything. Hope that my question kinda makes sense, it's starting to feel like I'm rambling so I'll just see what kind of info I can get from you guys. Thanks in advance! Chris
  2. Are most parts with these still interchangeable with the majority of the modular frame 2011s?
  3. Fenix pd35 on high is 1000 lumens for like 65 bucks I think. For a smaller light i like the streamlight stylist pro, bout the size of a sharper and decent enough light if you aren't aiming to blind someone with it. And they are like 30 bucks
  4. Quick detach/attachment is very helpful. Different stages may have you laying, crouching, crawling, climbing, etc, etc. And you will want to be able to move your stuff around and not have to completely unstack everything off the belt. Also if it's a single gun stage, you can ditch all the extra stuff you won't need for that run. You will most likely buy a bunch of different stuff and have a big old pile of stuff you like for different reasons. Good luck and go watch/shoot some matches and see what people are using

    Cz for 3 gun

The thing I really like about having them both is if I want I throw the extended p09 mags on my belt and have a 15 rounder in the gun then 2 23rd backup mags....in case there is a big wave of zombies

    Cz for 3 gun

I run a p09 with some czc extended base plates and their spring and follower kits and love the gun. There isn't a huge aftermarket following if them so it doesn't seem like there are a lot of options/upgrades available. I went with the safariland gls holster and like it but don't love it. Gun seems a little sloppy in it but I don't think it would ever be dangerous and hop out. I have it set up with the decocker on and like it, but there is of coarse the pretty big difference between sa / da trigger pull so that first shot out of the holster gets a little wonky compared to the subsequent shots. With all that said, i really love that gun and bought a p07 for edc, and considered buying a tso, but have decided that I am going to build a 2011 and have ordered a Jem frame and slide to see how that goes.
  7. I use the CZC base plates and their spring and follower kits on the stock cz 19 round mags and have had zero issues with them. Need to order a few more now that I think of it....
  8. Hello everybody! Figured I would just make a quick post to introduce myself. I'm Chris I have been shooting local 3 gun matches here in Colorado for a few years with Soco3gun and Big Ben, next month will be my first national match at the He man nationals at the Nra Whittington center, very excited for that. I also shoot some idpa and some other little matches they put on at the gun club I belong to here in Colorado springs. Anyways, just thought I'd say hello and I am very glad to be a part of this forum which has such a wide range of really good information about shooting sports.
