  1. Yup... I agree, but he could pick up a G17 or G34 that have preban mags. And I think the mag bans in CT aren’t that old... 2013?
  2. Are standard capacity mags banned completely or were any older mags grand fathered in as "pre-ban"
  3. Your LGS sounds like a dream come true... no one around me stocks anything near as fun
  4. 6.5yr old can be a bit vague.. is he big/small strong/weak? I like the MP22 suggestion. What about a pistol? I built a 22 SBR for my son and he loves shooting it and can handle it well.
  5. Instead of shortening the slide by 2mm could you have taken that off the sight block instead?
  6. This whole thing sounds like an accident about to happen. I think they should have adjusted the activator pull after it was found to be too light.
  7. I have both.. and I have small hands. It's hard to say which one works better for anyone until you pick them up. On paper, the S2 is slightly bigger, and I would agree that the grip of the S1 feels smaller (Hennings on both). But I like the way I grip the S2 better... the shape feels better and I tend to try to regrip it less. Of course... I shoot the S1 bettter, so the only true answer is to shoot them both and figure out which one suits you the best
  8. Somewhere on the site there is a picture of what you need to do the the maglula to make it work better. It's a few minutes with a dremel and you're good to go.
  9. Why not buy another Pelican Case with Pick/Pluck foam? Or you can get custom cut inserts, but that never seemed like it was worth the cost to me. Can you upload a picture of your current pelican case? I'm also assuming your sig case is just the standard flimsy plastic case the new guns come with? These are great for pistols https://www.caseclub.com/product-category/case-club-cases/gun-cases/ My favorite long gun cases are Boyt https://boytharness.com/product-tag/gun-cases/?filter_brand=boyt-harness-company Word of warning for storing long term in a plastic air tight case though... I don't because of moisture issues.
  10. The type of gun matters as much in CO as it does in other divisions... and by that I mean, whichever you shoot and handle the best. Like mentioned above, you probably see poly/striker the most because they have ready to go CO guns straight from the factory at a cheap price point... and also milling the slides on one you already own is "easier". I say "easier" because those slides are more of a commodity and can easily be replaced if you didn't like CO. Where CZ slides are more expensive and then your S/N don't match if you replace it. You may even find that a G17 works better than a G34 since you don't need the sight radius. Again, that comes down to personal preference and practice.
  11. Hope you’re ok. It sounds like you were pretty cautious in your operation. It does look like that bulge goes around the case.. could have been an OOB discharge
  12. What’s wrong with the Canik... it’s a great gun at a fantastic price
  13. CzCustom has done both of my shadow 2’s
  14. For Production - I have a carry case that hold 10 mags that goes to the range. 1 in the gun and 5 on the belt and the extras are spares.
  15. Lots of people just want to avoid the reloads of production and/or the additional Ammo cost. So the perfect division is limited minor for them.

I empty them and start from 0
  17. Tell those people to go read the updated rules
  18. Is there a reason why your are considering that setup
  19. Yup... I’ve had that same frustration. Email or call them and ask. I had a similar issue... 50 cent part and they wanted $8 shipping.. I called and asked if they could drop it in an envelope and I’d pay a couple of bucks for the 55cent postage. They agreed and took care of me.
  20. I've run both the Venom and the FF3... I just had a FF3 get intermittent on me, so I sent it back and it's in the process of warranty replacement. None of my Venoms have had an issue so far. I think they're both about equal. Find whichever you get a better deal on.
  21. Big contracts... big money... guaranteed money. Not nearly as demanding a customer base... most duty guns get shot Get shot once a year for qualifications
  22. Bullets out to conserve space. 32” belt so I try to jam as many pouches as I can in that space.
  23. It’s all on the paper and sometimes that’s good enough
  24. I A friend of mine got one off of ebay a while ago, I seem to remember that it didn't have velcro all the way around it, which didn't seem like it would work to well, in my opinion.
