  1. Instead of milling the slide for the optic. what about adding a frame mount for the optic.
  2. any updates on new deliveries from orders?
  3. I didn't say it was their fault. It really seems to be USPS for their location. If they used fedex or UPS, maybe things would be better, but I understand that it's cheaper to go with USPS... just like every other manufacturer is using the flat rate boxes. My other orders were all shipped USPS too, but they are located in different areas, and the postal service for them seemed fine. No delays. I'd have to go back and look at tracking, but it seemed like the Memphis postal hub was the black hole... sat there for over 3 weeks without a single update. Until that mess gets fixed, I'll simply order from suppliers in different areas to avoid the delays or potentially lost shipments.
  4. My shipment from BBI was awful. They shipped out ok, but the USPS there must be a complete mess. It took weeks to even get out of that city. Just because of that I’ll avoid them during these times DG got my order to be in less than 2 weeks. Acme was just at 2 weeks
  5. Normally, I’m a DW fan, it in this case, I’d take the Tanfo
  6. They've been shipping over the past few weeks. Large orders over 5 units were received already. The other orders are shipping now.
  7. Get some Hennings grips and mag extensions
  8. It’s not cheap, but not that bad compared to what regular 9mm is going for. Pre-craziness, I paid 30 cents per round for 9 major. heck regular bulk 9mm is going for 40 cents a round now
  9. The S2 is hard to beat. The performance you get for the price is hard to go another direction. I really like the sound of the A01LD, but justifying the cost is hard... especially since I've never actually handled one in person. I'd like to get one, but then I'd be investing in all new mags and holster. And I'd need to still keep all my old stuff for backup.
  10. Federal Syntech 150... you can order directly from their site. Other sites carry it as well, but inventory has been spotty. Also Speer Lawman 147 shoots ok.
  11. Are you against going full incognito and using a tool bag? https://www.homedepot.com/p/Klein-Tools-Tradesman-Pro-17-25-in-Tool-Station-Backpack-55482/312140156
  12. With all the options of colors, the coated bullets look cooler. I think the coated also has the advantage of less friction - not concerned with barrel wear/erosion, but less powder for equal PF.
  13. HaHaHa. 1/4 of the worth of all the drugs. Maybe they should rethink their financial model
  14. Thanks for posting the info about the distance... confirms the benefits that manufacturers claim about coated
  15. From Glock's perspective, why keep the Gen4? It costs more to keep legacy versions in production. They'll still do warranty work on the Gen4 that are out there. The only reason they're keeping the Gen3 is because there is a CA market for it.
  16. Yes.. he said he usually does the CZC Short disconnector for S2s, but he prefers to leave the factory hammer
  17. https://www.guns.com/news/2020/07/06/glock-has-reached-the-end-of-the-line-on-gen-4-9mm-40sw
  18. I wouldn’t give a second thought to someone chamber checking in a loose barrel.
  19. For over ear, I’m using MSA Sordins with gel cups. Eyes are ESS Crossbow Supporessor. The flat temples make over ear muffs work well.
  20. The factory OR wasn't an option when I did mine, and rules were also different and it needed lightening. I like my setup and like the slide cuts. Since I went with the CZ Custom setup, I can easily change plates for different optics or even get their plate with a rear sight. I suppose if you're worried about resale, then getting the factory version is the way to go. If I wanted to do it today... I'd look for a used S2 at a good price that is either already milled or cheap enough that getting it milled makes sense. If I couldn't find a killer deal on a used S2, then I'd get the OR.
  21. Shadow 2 milled by CZ Custom for their RDS Plate. Sent to CJ Maven for his tuning package. Right now, running Vortex Venom, but am switching to an SRO that I picked up.
  22. As to the question - yes, I've shot CO with 10rd mags, but others are shooting standard capacity mags on various guns where pre-bans were available
  23. I don't live in CT, but I think they had a magazine ban implemented in 2013 Since 2013, Connecticut law prohibits people from selling or purchasing high-capacity ammunition magazines that hold more than 10 rounds of ammunition. Existing owners before the law passed were allowed to keep the magazines. A person who lawfully possesses a large capacity magazine prior to January 1, 2014, must apply by that date to the Connecticut Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection (DESPP) to declare possession of such magazine So if you had a mag before then and "declared"as jakeb stated, then you could keep it and use it (with some restrictions). If he has any standard mags that he 'declared' then he could then buy/use a gun that could take advantage of those mags for CO. Similar in MA, but the ban is the actual 94 ban, so if people have mags from before then, then they are using them for CO.
