  1. Looks fantastic... how much was it?
  2. The venom has the battery accessible from the top so you don’t need to remove the site to change batteries Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Amazing. But now I want one too and don’t have the skill, tools, or courage to do it myself.
  4. What about asking at your local gun shop? They may have a customer who is a doc?
  5. Ask around at local gun clubs. Our club has two shooters who are optometrists.
  6. I’m cross eye dominant too. Grew up closing my dominant eye and shooting one eyed. As I got in to college, I trained myself to shoot both eyes open, but it’s getting hard since my near vision is going down hill fast so I’ve been switching to optics.

    cz 75 long slide

Why did I click on this thread... now I have a new obsession.
  8. LOL. Yes it’s true. I have little baby hands
  9. Replace them with Chicago style screws from Lowe’s or Amazone or whatever your preference for small hardware.
  10. My Sordins have worked ok for the past few years. I have heard of others who have corrosion problems though and battery drain like you mentioned. It’s probably because they are ‘weather’ proof and can build up condensation internally especially in the battery compartment. It sounds like your issue was slightly different though. Hopefully you found the problem. As for Sordins vs Pro Ears Gold. The construction of the Sordins is nicer, metal headband, weather proof and gel cups. However, the electronic filtering and enhancement of my Pro Ears Gold are much better and cleaner than my Sordins.
  11. How much is shipping typically?
  12. I wouldn’t do anything with a fancy finish. I like sleeper / beat up looking guns. The grip could be a good investment, but that’s because I don’t really like rubber or plastic grips. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. What class are you shooting? I’ll assume you are shooting production and need to keep everything behind your hips. I put my inner belt on backwards. And line up my holster with my hip and then secure my outer belt with the ends in front For the other classes where you can mount in front then I’d reverse it and put my outer belt on backwards Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Shadow 2 Carry Optics

There are several people here who have made weight with an S2 and cuts for optics CZC did my slide and I’m well within weight. 43oz with stock mags/basepads, stock rod and extended safety Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I haven’t gotten around to getting new basepads yet. I would need to use mags made before ‘94 to use extended pads. I’m going add non extension pads and I’ll weigh it again when I get those I have 2 oz to play with and I can still drop the stainless rod and the extended safety if I need too Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I posted a picture somewhere here... it weighed in at 43 oz with a Burris FF3.
  17. I'm a huge fan of checklists. I have several that I've fine tuned over the years for various activities.
  18. My S2 makes weight with just the slide milled in a couple of places. It sounds like you don't like the look of the full length dust cover and want to mill it for weight and aesthetics. I don't think that would be allowed.
  19. I think you’re on to the correct answer with your first post. No rules specifically allowing it.
  20. Great read and great advice. I've found myself in the gear gathering and hoarding mentality lately and not nearly enough time actually doing anything to further my shooting proficiency. I'm in a similar situation as you... I used to shoot often and well.. then I started reading all the forums and searching for the next best thing, and my shooting has suffered. I would also add, that taking advice from some people who have never seen you shoot isn't always the best approach. Sure, some experts give advice that is considered best practices, and the fundamentals are important to get right... but unless they actually see you shoot, you should take some of that advice with a grain of salt. What works for others may not work for you and vice versa.
  21. I used a craftsman tool bag for years. It worked well, but after a while I wanted more pockets/compartments.
  22. What did you like or dislike about your old range bag? i have this and like it a lot https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005J5TY7G/ref=twister_B00SUSBFA8?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
