  1. The original sights need to go. Who makes a decent set for the Norinco?
  2. I thought that was what he meant. So declaring a firearm allows the secure shipping of guns and other valueables. Nice!
  3. Don’t know if this is true, but my cc instructor said that the major benefit of travelling w/guns is that the case can be locked by the owner, unlike all other baggage. So cameras, jewelry, etc. can travel w/o baggage handlers having access to the goodies.
  4. I h8 phones. Just want to see some pros in action and maybe learn a few things before getting into it.
  5. Ok. Thank you for the replies. I’ll warn any attractive, unattached women I know to watch out for anyone who smells like cordite. Lol. Going to watch the X-treme Texas match the day after my Defensive 1&2 class in Georgetown (Calvin Tidwell’s class.)
  6. Any advice for the people going just to watch?
  7. Star model B in .38 or 9mm is a nice, smaller copy of a 1911. Steyr makes a cool .22 version of their own 9mm, so does Ruger, so does S&W. I personally learned to shoot pistols with my grandpa’s Hi Standard, which I now own, and I have a second, threaded , heavy barrel version that I still take to the range. The Hi Std was designed as a trainer for the 1911 and is a great pistol.
  8. The custom molded ones I got at the gunshow and Howad Leight active muffs with aftermarket get cups is the best combo I have found so far. The muffs have a jack for music too.
  9. New here, new to the sport of 3-gun. Love to shoot, this looks like it will be fun. Lots to learn! Going to a match next week to watch the pros do it, then maybe try it out for myself.
