  1. Mine has to do more with reloading. I have small/medium sized hands and can never reach mag release with my thumb on pretty much any gun. I used to adjust my grip to press then readjust to shoot again taking quite a bit of time. I discovered it would be much easier to press with my middle finger under the trigger guard. The finger is right there and much easier for me to hit with than my thumb. It's been working well for me since.
  2. BSPS sells the ratchet kit now. https://benstoegerproshop.com/competition-belt-ratchet-kit/ I've attached them to my standard DAA belt. It's hard to explain but here's my method to prevent bunching on my inner velcro belt - when I put the outer belt on, I start ratcheting it down and when inner velcro might start bunching up I separate it it with my fingers until its tight enough, then l let the velcro attach. It might be more helpful to have a card or something separating the velcro so it can slide (instead of bunch) while you tighten the outside belt. But using just my fingers works for me.
  3. +1 for dot with co-witness irons for edc
  4. Tore my acl, mcl, and meniscus in one shot playing football back in 2014. Knee popped out and all. It was pretty bad. Took a year before I could run again. Never felt the same for me but I still try to stay active. Make sure to get good physical therapy and try to stick with it.
  5. I ordered mine end of October. Still haven't received it yet. Sent a friendly message about a week ago asking what the new timeline is. Got a response a few days later saying it should be shipping out in a few more weeks. I knew it was going to be a long wait. Not this long but I'm in no rush. I'm fine with my basic holster and just see this as an eventual upgrade whenever I get it.
  6. I also have medium hands and I don't think there are any pistols out there where my thumb can comfortably reach the mag button without shifting my grip. A technique that works for me is I use my middle finger to hit it. It's wrapped under the trigger guard and usually right there next to the button on most pistols. It's easy for me to use that finger instead. Doesn't require me to change grip and I'm able to do it while keeping the index finger off the trigger. Doesn't work well for all guns like some 1911's or PDPs but works for just about everything else. Might be a little different for you but see for yourself. Once I discovered it, it was a gamechanger for me.
  7. I had both. Decided to sell the AXG grip (even with the lok brass grips). I seem to shoot faster with Legion. Currently experimenting with pro slide on legion grip.
  8. Using GG kit with curved trigger. Works well enough for me.
  9. I think someone mentioned competitions on another local forum a few years ago. I checked out that clubs website and saw their upcoming schedule. Like someone mentioned, I realized there was this whole world of shooting I never knew existed especially so close to me. I did a little research and signed up. I didn't know any other competitors so I got a couple friends to come along and been doing it ever since.
  10. If you signed up for the notification it came back in stock last night on Beretta's site. Out of stock by this morning. I was able to pick one up. https://www.beretta.com/en-us//gun-accessories/handguns/kits-parts/competition-self-locking-disassembly-lever-for-90-series-full-size/?ItemNotifyId=407144
  11. I have one installed. Have not had a chance to use it in a match yet but its a cleaner break than the GG trigger for sure.
  12. Sorry the discussion was done over the phone. Nothing to copy. I hope that it was just that model plate and not the others.
  13. You're right, it doesn't make sense. I think it was an oversight in the design. They discontinued the plate. It was for the original X5 (non-legion) Romeo1 to RMR footprint. I wasn't the only one with the issue but like I said customer service made it right for me so I'm still a happy customer.
  14. I had a C&H adapter plate for my x5. No issues with a couple thousand rounds. However I recently removed the red dot and when I remounted, the lugs sheared off. I contacted customer service and they explained its meant to only be mounted once. They made it right though. Perhaps it was only the particular model I got? I also have the Forward Controls plate for a Glock and it seems very solid. Another brand to consider.
  15. Almost same timeline for me. Blue Bullets 147 9mm, ordered 10/20/20 delivered 2/6/21
  16. I also just made the jump. Like a couple people mentioned, I put painters tape across the front of the optic and it seemed to work well for me. I tried it for the first time in a local match a few weeks ago and was happy with how I performed.
  17. I got one of the Wheelers. This one: https://www.amazon.com/Wheeler-Engineering-Construction-Gunsmithing-Maintenance/dp/B01B3NU0U2 It has worked well for me on several different pistols so far including berettas and m&p's (those were the tightest i've come across)
  18. Placed a small order on July 20th. Still nothing.
  19. +1 for a Springfield RO. I was able to score one for a really good deal. I use Wilson Combat mags and no issues for me.
  20. Hey Lain, Good to see you on board here as well! - the other Dan L.
  21. +1 on wheeler too. I just wish I bought it earlier
  22. Shooting 40 out of a G20 is softer shooting than a G35 in my experience.
  23. This is a new video that may help correct shooting left
  24. Good video. At least in the comments section they responded and are aware of the flaw. They are actively developing a solution for it. Good on them to recognize and fix it fast.
