  1. I think you just happen to have shot lesser impacted classifiers. The % impact will be the same for everyone, as classes are just a percentage of one single number...the HHF. You could argue that D and B, being 40 and 25 pts wide respectively, will be most affected....but everyone is x percentage further from their goal depending on which classifier we are looking at.
  2. I’m about half way through a comparison of limited HHF changes, which I’ll post here tomorrow. Pucker factor more worthy of its name now.....get ready for this. HHF increased 18%.
  3. My next match happens to be a classifier match. First one ever for me...was all pumped up and hoping to crack low 70’s. Maybe I should withdraw and quit while I’m behind!
  4. Ultimately there will always be “paper ___’s” no matter how much they increase the HHF because the classifier has little to do with actually being competitive in USPSA. So this bump feels like a solution searching for a problem. Don’t get me wrong- absent making level II placement the only way to classify, it’s a pretty good system. Ours is superior to the “5x5” IDPA classifier where 5 draws / 25 static shots in 20 seconds from 10 yards makes a master. They should have caught up more slowly over some period of time and then programmed a logical inflationary path for the future. Most non-GM’s would probably agree
  5. Guess PCC GM is my only ticket to M in limited. Kidding!
  6. Thousands of guys and gals (present company included) have been dryfiring an hour a night trying to bump and they move goal posts 10% overnight? This is really a kick in the pants. Why? Was there a problem with a flood of “paper GM’s” or something? Putting my self-serving complaint aside: what about competitive equity? This pretty much renders classes irrelevant because legacy classifications are going to have a hard time competing against newly classified people (shooting wise- field course skills equal) and they can’t downgrade absent age or injury.
  7. What do you mean by only one went up? The HHF declined on all the others? Or are you solving with a lower time meaning declines are actually higher HF?
  8. That’s a huge change. Would have been nice to get a heads up.
  9. Just saw a note in Down Range email blast. [edit- website crashing] I’ll post the before and after once the site is back up. Not pumped about this as a B trying to make A! The USPSA Classification System has been updated to include new High Hit Factors for classifiers in all divisions. Several classifier stages have been retired and will no longer be available for future use as classifiers. The new High Hit Factors have been incorporated into the USPSA Classifier Calculator, which can be found at USPSA.org, and will be included in the upcoming USPSA Mobile App. Retired classifiers: 99-09 Long Range Standards 99-34 Ported View 03-10 Area 5 Standards 06-07 Steely Speed IV 06-08 Steely Speed V 06-09 Steely Speed VI 08-05 Long Range Standards 2 08-06 Area 4 Standards 09-05 Quad Standards 09-06 Quad Standards 2 09-11 Razor's Edge 13-09 Window Pain
  10. Looked at Vibraprimes but they had pretty bad reviews on Amazon so I passed. You have one that works pretty well?
  11. Just got extra primer pick up tubes, which I’d call a priority upgrade. Having them loaded, which can be done anywhere anytime, really helps you crank out production when you are at the bench. Interrupting rhythmic cranking for 5 minutes to pick 100 of those suckers up is a pain!
  12. Buy the lighter safe and fill it with guns to achieve the desired weight. In all seriousness, guns and ammo add lots of weight. Maybe 75-100... Agree with posts above that both safes can be breeched in minutes by all but the dumbest / opportunistic teenager-type thieves. The safe is only part of a system of layers to achieve security: -Alarm -Dog -Best practices when out of town (timers, fake TV, mail and trash taken, don’t announce trips on social media) -WiFi cameras that alert phone -Disguise the safe- you’d miss mine standing next to it. -General OPSEC (bumper stickers, etc)
  13. I had to do some fitting for my PT grip. Was a bit frustrating that it didn’t work out of the box but I get why...not DAA’s fault. The fitting video is helpful. Just go slow. I’m still satisfied overall. DAA is a good company- always innovating.
  14. Just ran my FART for first time. Est 700 rounds Primers in Once shot but filthy brass Stainless pins Supplied cleaning solvent 2hours FA dryer I was amazed at how clean and shiny it came out. I can see how guys become brass snobs with a FART. It shines like jewelry. I’m pretty sure I’ll move up to A class now!! j/k
  15. Is that a snake in the bottom left corner of pic? Oh, and cool cat!
  16. Congratulations. You made an excellent choice. Great people and superb guns! I love my titan so much I am thinking about a preemptive Chaos buy so that I don’t have to wait when I eventually go to the dark (open) side.
  17. Did everyone aim dead center on the A’s or did you aim a little further from the hard cover area? I’ve heard about shooting “at the center of the available scoring area”, but figure that’s more applicable with 10+ yard shots. It should be automatic at 5 & 7 yards but it’s pretty fast shooting so I’m not sure.
  18. Who is a good alternative for 180 gr .40 JHP bullets?
  19. Barrel cactus grows elsewhere? Southern Hemisphere, looking north to sun? Or it doesn’t prefer sun....
  20. 18% off site wide La police gear “extra18”.
