  1. When I load 38 short colt I also used 9mm dies with a 38 sizing die and they worked perfectly. All are Dillon dies in a 650.
  2. I have been using the Oakley Tombstone Reaps with the Prizm lenses. I like the field of view and contrast that the lenses provide.
  3. I put my revolvers in a DAA Alpha X. It locked them in tight as a vault and it doesn't matter how long the barrel is.
  4. I had a Vortex Venom on an Allchin mount that worked great. It was as close to bore as I could find and very solid.
  5. Might not be exactly what you're looking for, but I really like the Hogue Big Butt grips. There are conversion versions of this style.
  6. I run the JP low mass and ultra low mass both with the silent capture spring. I wouldn't choose any other combination.
  7. When I first started learning to quad load I would practice for an hour or so every night. After a few days I would have significant pain in my wrists and fingers. I agree with someone above that over training can definitely cause issues.
  8. Go with Vortex. The Razor 1-6 is of the premier 3-Gun scopes. That being said I agree with comments above that the Viper is the best value. I have both and I think that difference in quality is not justified by the difference in price. The Viper is so close to the Razor that for around $600 it's an obvious choice.
  9. I turn my Razor 1-6's illumination on only at 1x for closer targets. I only shoot 3-Gun, but at distance I don't need the dot distracting my eyes for a precise shot.
  10. I always used the oil supplied by Benelli and never had any issues.
  11. I have both the Razor HD Gen II 1-6 and the Viper PST Gen II 1-6. The Razor is on my 600+ yard 18" rifle and the Viper sits atop my 14.5" bay match rifle. They each have different purposes, but I would have zero issue running the Viper well past 300 yards. It's very close to the Razor in quality, but you can tell the difference at max power.
  12. I started out with 18 and decided to go a shorter route, but skipped 16 all together and went with a 14.5. I shoot mostly bay matches and wanted something more maneuverable. The 14 balances well and swings much easier. I don't feel like I'm giving anything up by skipping a 16 for the matches I shoot.
  13. Another vote for the HiViz Tricomp. I like using the peak of the triangle for distance slug shots and the entire sight for bird shot.
  14. I emailed Robert last week and he was great taking time to answer all my questions. He said that they did have one last holster in stock and no intention of producing anymore due to the difficulty in fitting the wide array of open gun sizes and add-ons. I would jump on it if it wasn't red and green... don't judge. I have a DAA Alpha X for USPSA, but my only hesitation is the difficulty in hot reholstering which I frequently do in my local matches. Although that was in Tac Ops and maybe my stage plans in Open won't require it as often. Thank you for the suggestion of the Urn and I agree that it looks like it might be the best off the shelf choice. I think I might just have to used to running with one hand on the gun. I emailed Weber Tactical and they said they should have an open holster for the Chaos available by the end of the year. I think I'm to wait on that model as I have been impressed with their stuff in the past.
  15. I plan on shooting major
  16. Looked around and cannot find much recent discussion centered on a kydex holster for an open gun. I'm about to put in an order for an Atlas Chaos and would like to have a kydex holster built. I wanted to see if anyone had any extensive experience with one. In my local matches hot reholstering is frequently beneficial. I went from level two retention holstering and I'm nervous about my open gun bouncing out and beating me to my position. So does anyone currently use one that they can recomend?
  17. Does anyone use a kydex holster in 3 gun for open division?
  18. Completely agree with what others have said that it doesn't matter one bit. I would pick whichever fits you the best and run with it. I ran a 24 inch and never felt like I needed to change anything.
  19. I ran a nordic tube on an M2 without a clamp and never had an issue. I was certainly never gentle dumping it in the bucket.
  20. I got the upper back from JP have put a few rounds downrange and I love it. It balances in the middle of the magwell and feels much more maneuverable than my 18 inch upper. Offhand shots are not an issue and I'm glad I got the light profile barrel as I think the ultralight might have been too light. I can't wait to run it in a match.
  21. The hogue I have used before flexed way too much for me. I would look for something a little more rigid.
  22. I have also had good luck with the Midway drag bag. Though as mveto stated I too only use them to store my long guns for the car ride. When I get to the range I just load up my cart and go from there.
  23. Another vote for the Taylor Freelance T-mag basepad.
