  1. Millennium Custom and yes. I believe they have so for some time.
  2. I have seen Dave shoot Limited and the only magwell to speak of is the one described by calmwater. I think that southpaw custom does a similar mod if not the one that Dave uses. Drop the magwell. If your gun does not run with it then dont use it; you need the gun to run 100% rather than to load .25sec faster. The only reason I have a big magwell on my gun is because I like how it pushes my hands up on the grip. However, I did see him using mag extensions on all of his mags. I think that putting yourself at a capacity disadvantage is a poor choice for limited. I do not think that the extensions will change your reload dramatically so I would keep them. I have seen it posted here that even if you are moving while reloading you will add a half second to your time. If you limit the rounds in your mags then you also limit the options you have shooting a course and may have to do more loads than other limited shooters. The placement does not matter as much as efficiency with the motions. Keep the mags where they are if you are comfortable with them there. Use your holster as well. Manny Bragg uses a DOH in limited and he has been doing very well.
  3. I believe (since Carlos is too busy with the kid to comment) that the lower court ruling only stands for the ruling and not the opinion authored. Other courts are bound by what SCOTUS says and not by the lower court. As such, the writing of Scalia is law and not what the appeals court wrote. However, the appeals court opinion can be considered as persuasive law in other cases but other circuits will not be bound by what is said in the opinion.
  4. Jeeper, This sounds like tough case that may even call for a second chair. Bill out the hours the right way: twice. In all seriousness, best of luck to you. I never did understand how the photos pass muster with the courts.
  5. Wait a minute... Are you telling me the internet has more places than this one?
  6. He turned me into a newt... I got better.
  7. All this talk of slide lightening has made me want to give it a try. By try I do not mean that I want to do the cuts myself because I do not have any of the equipment to do so. However, there are a few hurdles that I have to get over. First, I am still in school and I don't have a ton of money to spend. Second, the gun I have is already chromed (I am not worried about refinishing the gun, more of how hard it will be to cut). Finally, I have no idea where to go for this type of work. The gun I have is a standard issue Limited gun(LW frame, Bull Barrel, 40, etc.). The slide has not been milled on at all; it is not even flat topped. I bought the gun used and it came already chromed. It runs like a champ but from what I keep hearing slide lightening may make it feel better. I don't want to make it crazy light or anything, I just want to take some off. I also don't really care how it looks when I am done. I figured I would just use some cold blue to cover up the bare steel to keep it from rusting. So, here are my questions: Can this type of work be done to my gun? What is the most cost effective way to lighten the slide (any good cuts that are not complex and don't weaken it)? Where can I get this type of work done? What should I expect to spend? Any other thoughts?
  8. If you buy primed brass just don't forget to take out the depriming pin.
  9. This is just the kind of thing I like to see. Good job guys.
  10. I just cannot stop spending money with Chuck. I think the longest it took me to get something was four days and that was because I ordered something after the UPS man had been there for the day.
  11. OK, this is something I have noticed but I have no idea what to do with the information. I am not sure if it happened because of full awareness or if it was misplaced focus or something else. Here is what happened: On three separate stages at Double Tap this past weekend I ran into my own brass. One stage it was on a long standing transition and on the other two were while moving to another position. On one of them I distinctly remember hitting two separate pieces of brass. It was really odd for me. I realized I hit them but I don't think it was a distraction. It was more of an, "ohh that was odd, now we return to our regularly scheduled shooting." It happened on some of my better stages but I feel like I may have still taken a pause to reflect on what had happened. Overall Double Tap was an odd match for me in terms of seeing things. I saw quite a few things that I have never noticed before. Besides feeling like I was going kind of slow when I was not really going that slow, there was one other thing that sticks out in my mind. Close to the end of the day I distinctly remember looking at the top two rounds in a mag as it was falling clear of the gun during a reload. There were things that I know what to do with but this one stumps me. Maybe it is a sign that I am doing something right or maybe I need to tune my ejection pattern to go flatter (although, I thought it was pretty flat already). I think I should have video taped the match and then I could really see what was going on. Let it go and don't worry about it? Take it as a sign that I am moving fast and learn how to not let it distract me? Opinions? Thoughts? Has this happened to you?
  12. I have a couple of trophies on my wall from using a USP 45 in CDP. One for 1st SS and another for 2nd EX. Nothing wrong with a USP, there just are not many out there using them.
  13. I submit my performance at Double Tap 2008 for membership consideration. (#30) http://www.doubletapranch.com/DTC%202008/P...0%20Limited.htm If you want pictures as well I will have to find a camera.

  15. Order directly from Comp-Tac. Shooters Connection is where I get my CR stuff.
  16. This thread has made me want to get a cat and a box of mice. Sure mice in the house are no fun but cats can be entertaining.
  17. The sight radius on a 6" doesn't have anything on that. I think we may see Robbie shooting a custom version at the LimNats. I am going to put in my order now before they get too popular.
  18. Get an airsoft gun and consider it mover practice. I hope your kitties resolve the problem for you.
  19. Operator or maybe Dominator I am for a new class. I remember the first time I saw Burkett's IDPA video where he shot it in something like 64 seconds. I was blown away. Not only that but his sldelock didn't work and he was racking the slide on some of the reloads. I knew that I did not want to have to shoot against a master like that at a major match. Maybe a new class would solve that problem. Then again, maybe if they would just adjust the required times so that master was much harder to attain there would not be this problem.
  20. WST aka Winchester Super Target, is the last choice available in the poll. For me and my little dog B class self, I use N320. Not because I think it is the best or anything but that there is so much info on this site about it and I do not like TG.
  21. http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?...21&hl=krebs http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?...mp;hl=krebs+esp Search is your friend. I think Dirtypool40 is the go to guy for more pictures of the Krebs magwell (I think he uses them a lot). There are more pictures but these are the best I found in my quick search. Also, I think that the SV magwell fits the box.

Nemo, Like chillax or something bro. You like need to like dryfire or something to get out all this like angst, like ya know. Like this one time I was sll mad and stuff so I like went and dryfired like a kajillion rounds or something and I was like awesome. Seriously though, one of the best compliments I have ever received was from a family friend who is a college professor. We had dinner and drinks and when the evening was over he told me that he was proud that I never once misused the word like the entire evening. I was 19 at the time and I didn't notice my vocabulary of the evening but I was happy to know that he appreciated me not giving into popular culture.
  23. By cyclone I assume you are talking about the Brazos button. All you have to do is have your current button drilled and tapped to accept the button. It is a screw on piece and I don't think it matters what you put it on.
  24. Sounds good. I am off to get one now and see if it makes my day better. Thanks for the idea.
