    Sig 2022 questions

So iv had a 2022 9mm for about 8 years now. Great gun, nice trigger, my question is has anyone ever experienced any issue with the guide rod as it is plastic? I notice theres some shavings from the recoil spring over the years. I know they make metal ones to replace it but not sure if they affect the reliability or operation down the road in any way. Any info is greatly appreciated.
  2. Iv never shot pistols with one yet but my LMT has a lucid on it and it was the strangest feeling keeping both eyes open and on target. Took me a month or so of practicing to get it down....still practicing even 3 years later but iv found my target acquisition with it on is much faster. Practice snap caps and dry firing around the house aiming at random objects.
  3. Im not sure what the front sight post looks like on a czc shadow but what i did with my sig when i first started shooting it was to rack the slide or pull the hammer back to single action, take a spent casing and place it on the flat portion on the front sight "kind of tricky because you have to balance it" but attempt to pull the trigger and dry fire without the casing falling off. Pull gently and smoothly it won't fall off. It allows you to adjust to the weight of the trigger pull and reset. If it falls off your pulling to hard which equates to slapping/ jerking the trigger. Hopefully this makes sense lol much easier to show than explain on here.
  4. As others have stated what has also helped me was trying to move to the next target close by off of the firearms recoil. Find it easier letting the recoil assist me rather then trying to fight it and get the line of sight back then switch it to the next target.
  5. Nice ill have to check the Circleville one out, i have a annual family pass to briar rabbit that i received from Christmas, went once so far just to shoot and seemed like a nice place. Soundlzrd, i imagine having kids throws a wrench in shooting quite a bit lol, i usually shoot at the bullet ranch on the east side, nice place with cool people.
  6. Soundlzrd, what part of town do you shoot in? Always looking for new ppl to shoot with.
