  1. Thanks Chili! I bought the N320, N330 and N340 (2 pounds each) just to try and see which one I like best. Will load up some of the N320 today and give that a try as well. Unfortunately I can’t buy the VV powder locally which means shipping costs added to overall cost and I might end up switching to another brand in the long run, but for now I’m good for at least 3000 rounds, lol.
  2. I stand corrected on this holster. I have stopped using it due to some retention problems I have had with it. It fell out twice in competition, once at the end of the COF, once after LMR. With the holster in the slightly slanted back position I have never had a problem but with IPSC, that position puts me out of spec. I’ve order a Double Alpha Alpha X for it now.
  3. Just started reloading and am new to shooting and competitive shooting, so I’m slow regardless, having a slow cycling gun will probably be to my benefit, lol. I started loading 147gr Campro RNFP with VV340 4.1gr, still need to chrono them, but I think the PF is going to come out around 139. I had been shooting CCI Blazers 124gr, they are snappy. Anybody have any loads using the VV330 and 147gr, there doesn’t seem to be a whole lot of information on that. CZ Shadow 2 CZ Shadow 2 Kadet .22 conversion CZ Shadow 2 Optic Ready
  4. Just bought the SDB and piecemealed a complete kit together for under $900 inc tax and shipping. Looking forward to loading on it. Bought a range of Vihtavuori powders N320, N330 and N340 and loading Campro 147gr RNFP bullets for my Shadow 2. Was going to buy a Lee Pro 1000 initially but after reading a lot of posts on this site, I sent the extra dollars. ****Passed my Black Badge course this weekend, hence...a SDB was in my future.**** ?
  5. @rowdybI just downloaded this really interesting app, its actually a game, but in it you step by step completely disassemble and then reassemble a CZ75 in 64 easy steps (lol). It’s 3D so you can zoom in/out, spin, flip, rotate and change the viewing angle. If you try to reassemble a part before its time, it doesn’t allow you to do it, but it does have a “hint” function which highlights the next part in sequence so you don’t lose your mind. The only thing it doesn’t do, is finess the parts back in for you in real time, that’s all on you, but it is an awesome visual aid and I like the 3D feature, so many times fine details are lost in real time videos due to lighting, camera angles etc. https://itunes.apple.com/ca/app/gun-disassembly-2/id436292998?mt=8 I haven’t tried applying it in real time yet, the pistol hasn’t had the rounds to warrant that yet and the field strip is an absolute no-brainer with the CZ, but when it’s time to do a detailed disassembly I am going to be relying on that app because the closest gunsmith is 120 miles away.
  6. I’m using the Bladetech competition holster. We can’t CC in Canada so holster is specific for competitive shooting. Excellent fit and adjustability.
  7. Clearly it didn’t work......
  8. Thanks Jack! Nope, from BC. Can’t ditch the .308 Norma Magnum. High sentimental value. First rifle and it was given to me by my dad. Secretly I think he was trying to scare me off of firearms by giving me that one.
  9. New to handguns but not new to firearms. I started shooting .22 rifles before age 10, thanks to my dad. I started hunting at age 19. I currently own a Mossberg .22 Tactical rifle, a Parker Hale Safari Deluxe .308 Norma Magnum which I don’t shoot much anymore because #1. I don’t hunt anymore and #2 Ammo is REALLY hard to come by and is too expensive to sport shoot. My most recent acquisitions are a CZ-75 Shadow 2 () and a Sig Sauer 1911 .22 (which I don’t love so much). I am also awaiting a CZ Kadet .22 conversion kit for the Shadow and I am on the waitlist for the CZ P-10C; which aren’t available in Canada yet. Because I’ll be getting into IPSC this year, it appears IPSC and reloading go hand in hand, so I’ll also be picking up reloading as a by-product of IPSC; like I need yet another hobby.
