  1. I can now sign in but I cannot post new topics or reply it states I do not have permission
  2. Well I think your move to increase the powder load is a good first step. I load 2.8 of TG with 165 Gr RN and 3.2 with 147 Gr RN both from Xtreem.
  3. Anyone having issues with TapTalk? Its been working fine then yesterday it said I had to sign in. Using my correct user name and password I tried and I could not sign in. I also reset my password via Taptalk and still not able to sign in but working fine on my computer. Any thoughts? Thanks
  4. My load is 124 Xtreem 4.2 gr 231 Win primers. 1090 from Glock 34. Probably a little lower in a shorter 5 in bbl and higher in a 16 in PPC. Shoots great groups out of my PPC. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Was using the Lee and it was not consistent. Went to the Hornady and never looked back. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Bullets forward index finger landing on forward portion of mag thumb and middle finger pulling up and out. This leads to pointing your finger/mag right into the mag well. Works for me.
  7. Have someone with experience check the lock up, make sure you dont have any issues with your locking block. I have heard of Glocks that have had a locking block replaced and then shoot straighter. Just a thought. Other then that you may just have one that shoots left some Glocks do.
  8. Bought mine last week from Cabelas it was on sale plus I had a veterans discount. With a small pistol plate I paid just over 300. Hornady also has a rebate for 100 bullets. So I thought I got a pretty good deal. Amazon was next cheapest.
  9. Not sure if I had a bad one or not but my KKM barrel for my 34 was much worse then my factory barrel. I called KKM and they sent me a replacement and now it shoots just a tad better then the factory barrel. Loading 147Gr RN with 3 gr. of Tight Group for 885 FPS average.
  10. If you looking for something that will last forever, not cost to much and has good accuracy I would recommend the Dillon Electronic scale. I purchased one at least 25 years ago and its still working fine.
  11. My Glocks never had an issue with OAL. I can size to mag length and have sized as long as 1.17. Currently size to 1.158. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Please be careful if you intend to use Tight Group. Its very easy to over charge. Just a tenth of a grain can increase velocities more then you asked for and if your powder measure is off more then + or - one tenth you may have issues. If you look up tight group in the printed manuals you will see the min to max load is a very small window. Spend some time comparing load data in different manuals and do some skill building with easy loads. Once you get the hang of it and you have a better understanding of how your press loads and what your powder and scale are actually telling you then move on to TG.
  13. I Second on Loudgp Post. 231 is a great starter power for a beginner and he sounds right on with that load for the G19.
  14. I loaded the exact same bullet and primer combo. Shooting from a Glock 34 I was using 4.2Gr of Winchester 231 and an OAL of 1.155. Velocity average was 1098. I had loaded up to 4.5 grains of 231 with Velocity around 1150. But the G34 has a bbl length of just over 5 inches so that kept the velocity up there your millage may very. Winchester 231 is a good overall powder, measures well and is difficult to over charge. I have since moved to 147 gr and Tight Group but would not suggest Tight Group for a new re-loader.
  15. I still run the old style wire ejector but have stuck with the Hornady taper crimp dies. My biggest issues the the occasional round getting stuck on the wire and not ejecting. I wish Hornady would upgrade it for free.
