Just installed one on my training x5, in combination with lighter recoil spring it makes a big difference. Pulling the trigger as fast as I can the dot never leaves the window. Prior to the pedal/spring change I would lose the dot briefly under recoil. I ordered two more, one for duty and one for carry in addition to my training gun.

The pro models are already available. You only need to remove a small amount from the DPP. A co-worker filed the front of the DPP housing until it dropped in, he made slow passes and checked fit often. You will need 6-48 pitch screws and a .40" tall front sight.

If you grind off the little nipples (bosses) on the mount, the Romeo will probably fit on the DPP mount. But I wouldn't want the screws be the only thing keeping it secure on the mount. The screws can shear without the bosses.

RDS don't necessarily need bosses, especially if the pocket is tight. Mark at L&M is one of the best in the industry and doesn't use bosses at all. I'm approaching 2K through my delta point on X-Carry without bosses and haven't had a single issue.

It is $99 for the X5 module through Sig as well (https://www.sigsauer.com/store/p320-x-five-full-size-grip-module-9mm-40-auto-357sig.html)

There is also the X-Series full size grip which is the same at the X5 without the magwell and grip weight for $59 (https://www.sigsauer.com/store/p320-x-series-grip-module-9mm-40-auto-357sig.html)

Those that have access to the military and LE program can obtain the X5 for about $73.

Who has LE pricing on the modules?

  5. They pretty much did that with the X5. The only thing I'd like to see is an atom like mounting solution for more optics than just the romeo and the addition of a rear sight dovetail.

The metal grip module could be offered without a whole new model, same as the slide.

Scsu74, do you by chance have a link to said screw? There are a couple options. Thanks in advance

Brownell's is blocked from work computer, but here are the part numbers:

    080-574-002WB

    080-574-003WB

I ordered both styles so I could choose the one that worked better. Each set was like $3. If you just need a set I could mail you some? I have plenty left over.

It would be nice if Leupold would come out with a "Deltapoint Pro 2" that would fit the P320 X5 and M&P Core slide cutouts. It wouldn't take much re-engineering.

The M17's are allegedly cut for the DPP

Haven't some removed material from the DPP rather than the slide?

Wonder if that voids the optic warranty? I'd rather remove material from the slide.

Not closing my door for this set up though... i have feeling i will still need to send to mark but i want to try it first without milling...

Another option would be to file the material yourself. Make slow passes with a file until it fits. I'd check often and go slow. You only need to remove .05"

I was surprised how reasonable Mark's price was. All in with shipping I'm at $55, including shipping to him. Having a lower mount with shorter front sight is worth it to me

  7. True. Need to file .05" off the front of the cut. You'll need 6-48 screws with 15mm thread length (ordered mine from Brownell's). If you care about co-witness you'll need a .40" front, I ordered a dawson.

  8. I go back and forth without noticeable difference. I carry an enhanced elite (w/ Hogue Magrips) on duty and have thousands of rounds through the 226 platform. Recently picked up an x5 and the only difference I noticed is it's less sensitive to my grip. With the 226 I have to focus on keeping support thumb away from the frame to make sure the slide locks back. Non-issue with the x5, haven't had it not lock back yet through 1K. I've owned a few regular 320's in the past, the x5 is my preference. Another interesting thing is I need the large grip with the regular 320 to prevent left impacts, but the stock x5 grip shoots POA/POI.
