  1. I'm currently loading 10.6g of the N105 and its spilling a little when indexing to the next station and this is also part of the reason im considering another powder, I have ordered the DAA PSP brush to help with this. Wont drilling popple holes lower the current PF, so I would need to chrono and make changes potentially? Thanks for this info zzt, I will try this gas test this weekend and see if there's too much gas.
  2. My PCC with Faxon BCG did not dimple the primer when I released the bolt from its locked position. might want to call the manufacture and see if that is "normal".
  3. I agree, but hear lately I have been playing with different powders/bullets in different guns to see what works best. There is definitely no loss of accuracy with the VV N105 & PD 124 JHP's, but id like to "tame" the load if possible. I am going to chrono this load this weekend and I am also going to order some new spring's to play around with.
  4. Just bought and open gun from a buddy to "dip my toe" in to the open pool and see if its something I want to stick with before I go out and buy a $5k+ gun. Its a 2011 chambered in 38super, he included 10lbs of VV N105 with the gun along with a 5gal bucket of brass. I started loading up a few hundred last night and was wondering if there might be a better powder option out there for 38super, I am still pretty new to the reloading game as I've only been loading 9mm & .40 for the last 18months. So my question is, is there a better powder option for 38super in an open gun?
  5. I’ve noticed this in all my AR’s in various calibers(.223/5.56, .300BO, 6.8SPC, .308, .277 wolverine, 6.5CM). I have never looked at the primers forbmy PCC, so when I go home today I will check and see if it does it like all the others.
  6. I got some PD 124's that ill try out and see how it runs with a 12lb spring.
  7. Go buy a lotto ticket, because you gotta be the luckiest guy to own an X5 lol. I shot a local USPSA match this past Sunday and to my surprise there was 5-6 new shooters (they usually shoot IDPA) and they all had X5’s, 4 had R1’s and each one was missing paint. The other 2 had different optics. The brass hitting the optic shield doesn’t bother me as long as it’s not hitting the glass (which it hasn’t YET), but at the same time it’s like having a Roman candle fight... eventually your gonna run out of luck.
  8. This place has them, I’ve done business with them before. They ship fast, they are also saying that if ordered today most customers will receive it by Friday (depending on location) https://www.kenziesoptics.com/product-category/reflexholographic-sights/trijicon-reflexholographic-sights/trijicon-sro-series/?mc_cid=1d5c12895d&mc_eid=e32e4d3c48
  9. My R1 has 0 paint on the right side of the optic housing lol. It’s been 8krnds +/- and I have a 14lb spring shooting 147 BBi making 130PF. I think this is an extractor or extractor spring issue. I have tried 11,12.5, 13, and 14lb guide rod springs (ISMI springs), I never noticed a difference in how the gun extracts brass.
  10. Maybe? Or we have proper grip... No one will ever really know though lol.
  11. There are pre-orders going on, but no one has them yet.
  12. Unless someone has a hookup with Trijicon, I doubt it and Rumor has it that they should be releasing by June or July. There are online retailers with pre-orders but they aren’t releasing a definitive ETA. I called Optics Planet last week and they said that they should be receiving them by 1st or 2nd week of June and they will ship out “almost immediately”. I have heard this same statement before in the past from Optics Planet and placed an order, and 4 months later they cancelled the order because they didn’t have the optic I wanted.
  13. I might be shooting 1 more yr of CO if I can get my hands on this. I already have the SSI Tungsten grip module, but im a Sig whore. **shrugs shoulder's**
  14. if you are dead set on getting the Romeo 3, you can have the slide remilled. Usually this can be done for $150-$180 and a one month turn around
  15. Agreed, if memory serves correct, the sig armorer works on his guns.
  16. yes it was HOT!!! 1103FPS 162PF. FYI I did load this bullet a little longer @ 1.120, it was a 16" barrel
  17. 3.8g of N320 with a Precision Delta 124g JHP with an OAL of 1.100, this load makes a 141 PF across our clubs CED chrono. The dot is tracking identical to your 3.7g load and although I have not shot a lot of this load a bunch, its definitely the "sweet spot". when I came up with this load I didn't have a lot to go off of so I winged it and developed several different loads, the 3.8 was the "base line" starting load. I them went with 4.0g & 4.2g w/124g and then tried 4.0g behind a 147g Extreme.
  18. I have the GrayGuns competition kit in my X5 & X-Carry, its the best option out there for the P320, but its not the best striker fired trigger on the market. Both my triggers break around 2.6Lbs (Average out of 10 pulls on Lyman digital), but there's way to much creep and overtravel, but its got a great positive reset. We have a member in our club that started shooting a few months ago and just got a Canik for CO, I just put a trigger from freedomsmith and that is probably the best trigger I have ever felt in a striker fired gun. it was 2.2Lbs on the Lyman digital, had almost 0 creep and overtravel and a similar positive reset like out GG triggers. The Walther Q% Match is tough to beat as well. just my .2 though.
  19. Shooters connection just put out a review of the MBX Pro. I got it in an email, but it’s probably on their Facebook
  20. has anyone seen a difference in FPS between a RN & JHP? just curious if one might be fast then the other (same weight & bullet MFGr obviously)
  21. So I guess you could say they found the "sweet spot"? I have heard of cycling issues on the MPX's and from what I have read on here, most of it seems to be ammo related. I have a trade offer for a Gen3 that I am entertaining hence my curiosity.
  22. Gotcha, I'm new to this whole PCC thing, I'm still learning the in's and out's. Thanks for the info.
  23. there's better out there for sure, but I really like the X5 minus the trigger. there are a lot of other plastic guns with waaay better triggers, but this gun is just so accurate
  24. I used the factory 20rnd mags when I started shooting USPSA in Limited (its a 226 Legion SAO)
