  1. Simple addition a- Number of matches held in 2023 by Club; --->. https://myenos.s3.us-east-2.amazonaws.com/output_match_counts.html SAMPLE:
  2. Your assumption is correct on the scenario of when people increase their classification and yes, I drop people from classification if <4 eligible stages. In-Eligible stages can also be scenarios of 120s or 90s.
  3. All Good; thank you for taking the time to play around and hopefully you got some enjoyment. Keep the questions coming.
  4. I'm assuming we are talking about A121170; CO percentage 2023 currently = 85.11% and rank = 198 He has all 8 stages eligible in his computation. @schmidtg Here is my 2024 log on A121170. Tell me where we differ. Entirely possible I screwed something up. Remember that all stage results from 2020 and 2021 are being excluded in 2024. For 2024 I am computing: NAME: Tony W [0m uspsa number A121170 Division: Carry Optics Stage: SC-101, Total Time: 95.80 Stage: SC-103, Total Time: 10.78 Stage: SC-105, Total Time: 11.73 Stage: SC-106, Total Time: 16.88 Stage: SC-107, Total Time: 14.85 Present Stages: SC-101 SC-103 SC-105 SC-106 SC-107 Missing Stages: SC-102 The PST value for SC-102 in CO is: 9.75 SC-104 The PST value for SC-104 in CO is: 13.75 SC-108 The PST value for SC-108 in CO is: 9.75 Total time missing stages = 33.25 count of present stages 5 count of missing stages 3 ( total 9.75+13.75+9.75)= 33.25 Total shooter time for Carry Optics ( 5 stages ) : 150.04 Official 8 stage Total 2024 peaktime 92.5 new adjusted total PST for this shooter 59.25 percent % = 59.25/150.04= 39.48%
  5. Christmas week downtime: I added a new set of "reports" that lists by division the biggest gainers / losers in rankings when comparing 2023 vs 2024. I haven't added search yet, but you can scroll or use CTRL F or Command F ( Mac ) to find your USPSA # ; Questions / Comments / Bug Reports are encouraged ! Here ---> http://steelrankings.com/ Sample:
  6. For Outer Limit it records 90s, not 120s ( 3 string requirement ) Regardless, 90s, or 120s ARE NOT used in classification calculations as you indicated @Squirrel45 Skipping a stage deliberately to not take a hit on percentage is Lame and he should be embarrassed
  7. They actually show up as 120s; Here is a recent match ( I am the MD ) and my RFPO broke. I DNF'd on several stages and we properly clicked DNF ( did not fire ) on practiscore for those stages. You will see that SCSA recorded 120.
  8. 12/22/2023 Weekly Recalculation update: http://steelrankings.com/ 2023 and 2024 Rankings updated. ChangeLog: Most recent 2023 weekly SC match results yields new USPSA numbers for inclusion ( there are like 4 - 10 new matches daily ) ( Many shooters are on a year end push to prior to new 2024 Peak stage times ) Most recent shooter updated classifications from SCSA Most recent Expired USPSA membership excluded from Rankings Fixed 2024 Projected Rankings where 120 second string data from SCSA records should be excluded despite showing up as a legit; Thanks @bravobravo Interesting this was discovered because some poor shooter dropped over 3000 positions in 2023 vs 2024 because a 120s stage time was his ONLY record for stage SC-102. He also had only 5 stages eligible in 2024. Fix was to exclude 120s times when only record for a stage. There was at least a dozen shooters in this situation.
  9. 2023 vs 2024 Rank Difference; working on a prototype to show you without all the hurdles of (2) different data rankings, how your ranking changes up/down from year to year; Before I get too deep into this, I'd be interested in feedback if useful; Here are the top 20 Carry Optics and there year to year Rank Difference.
  10. In response to some shooters not in the proper ready position for PCCO / Rimfire , I've heard " Shooter, make LOW READY, repeat, make LOW READY as a means to get the message across.
  11. Looks like they are going to offer a SC Range Officer course in 1Q/2024.
  12. https://scsa.org/classification/L3950 has no current classifications. Definitely not a problem for my ranking one way or another. Thanks.
  13. Could you elaborate on what you are referring too ? @CClassForLife
  14. James you are spot on. Great Catch. Thank you. It went from 42.5 --> 43.5 on the PST for the stages remaining on your CO / 2024; Actually I had several individual stages wrong in my code for 2024 PST ( I had totals correct, but individual stages were incorrect ) This is an issue when a shooter has < 8 stages left in 2024; I fixed and will re-run the whole recalc for everyone. For reference Here is what I found in my log for your CO in 2024 after stage expirations: These PST for some stages were incorrect on my part. Confirms what your posted. SCSA Link: https://scsa.org/classification/A125509/all USPSA NAME: James D Division: Carry Optics Stage: SC-102, Total Time: 16.27 Stage: SC-103, Total Time: 12.33 Stage: SC-105, Total Time: 13.82 Stage: SC-106, Total Time: 16.28 Present Stages: SC-102 SC-103 SC-105 SC-106 Missing Stages: SC-101 The PST value for SC-101 in CO is: 13.0 SC-104 The PST value for SC-104 in CO is: 14.0 SC-107 The PST value for SC-107 in CO is: 13.0 SC-108 The PST value for SC-108 in CO is: 10.0 total time missing stages = 50.0 count of present stages 4 count of missing stages 4 Total shooter time for Carry Optics : 58.7 total 2024 peaktime 92.5 new adjusted total PST for this shooter 42.5 percent % = 72.4 Here is your updated 2024 with the correct adjusted PST. 15. I put together with help a forward looking 2024 SC Rankings page ---> http://steelrankings.com/ - Uses Future 2024 Peak Stage Times: https://myenos.s3.us-east-2.amazonaws.com/peaktimes.html - Rolls off 2021 matches as eligible for current classification ( Only stages shot in the current or previous two calendar years are used for classification.) - Excludes where USPSA membership expired ( as of 12/15/2023 ) If anyone finds an issue or has questions, don't hesitate to post/email; I'm sure I missed something somewhere; This was quite complicated and involved many 100,000s of rows of data to sort through what stages remained after 2021, who had > 4 stages remaining after exclusions, and of course recalc with new PST. Some of you got a big jump for free as other shooters lost their best stages !! @bravobravo @GKB @Hoops
  16. 12/14/2023 Weekly Recalculation update: http://steelrankings.com/ ChangeLog: Most recent 2023 weekly SC match results yields new USPSA numbers for inclusion ( there are like 4 - 10 new matches daily that I add to the pool of shooter rankings ) ( Many shooters are on a year end push to prior to new 2024 Peak stage times ) Weekly updated classifications from SCSA used in rankings Accurate expired USPSA membership excluded from Rankings (There are surprisingly many ) Continued thanks to those who email with questions and suggestions. The open exchange of ideas based on the data & analysis is great ! **Apologies for the delay on 2024 ranking / classification projections. I've had a few frustrating bugs and edge conditions to shake out. QA testing is non trivial. I no longer have pneumonia so I'm out of the house a bit more; Drove to FL; Actually shot a few matches this past week.
  17. On a Serious Note, I've had several ask about the Categories. The problem is they are subjective, many matches don't require them on registration, and they are not durable data that I am aware is contained anywhere. Even if we could histogram out based on these categories, what action oriented conclusion would you suggest ? Seems like just eye candy and bait for more Outer Limits taste great vs less filling discussions.
  18. Ruger pc carbine taccom and tandemkross upgrades galore as needed
  19. To Steve ( @zzt ) point here is a 2023 Tier 2 State championship match that only offered 6 stages; https://scsa.org/results/event/15082 I have not seen any tier 3 or tier 4 matches that were < 8 stages. I don't see classification with <8 as gaming the system or unfair, but it would be short sighted to think you are a high quality SC shooter without mastering all 8. PS I have a half baked idea to classify in all 13 ( Club 13 ) by only shooting 4 stages as I have little interest in many of the other divisions. I admit this is gaming the system
  20. I have taccom xlw and go 1000 rounds easily.
  21. Not me; I wouldn't even do it at every 100 rounds.
  22. 12/7/2023 Weekly Recalculation update: http://steelrankings.com/ ChangeLog: Most recent 2023 weekly SC match results yields new USPSA numbers for inclusion ( there are like 4 - 10 new matches daily ) ( Many shooters are on a year end push to prior to new 2024 Peak stage times ) Most recent shooter updated classifications from SCSA Most recent Expired USPSA membership excluded from Rankings ( There are many ) Coming THIS WEEK -- 2024 Classification Projections & Ranking See how Rankings and your classification change on January 1st, 2024 New 2024 peak times Expire those stage classifications which are pre-2022 - SCSA:Only stages shot in the current or previous two calendar years are used for classification Continued thanks to those who email me with questions and suggestions. Nice to see the followup analysis being done @GKB
  23. Here is someone who expired just this week and will drop during today's recalc; https://scsa.org/classification/A110170
  24. @GKB Good Stuff Gary ; I think clustering Low - Ready divisions together makes sense. All the latest weight savings coupled with cheap ammo are present. Add to that the dynamics of the draw + grip are so different than being "locked in" in low ready.
  25. Thank you for the close eye. Typo on my part. Fixed it on the page.
