Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. You can increase the trigger pull weight by changing the springs and a good working knowledge of disassembly and reassembly of the FCU. Any combination of increasing the spring resistance on the two (2) Sear springs, Striker spring and to a small degree, the Trigger Return spring will increase the trigger pull weight. Finding the correct springs to get the desired result will probably be the hardest part.
  2. I use 21 round factory Sig magazines with Taran Tactical Innovations (TTI) +2 baseplates with stock 21 round springs in USPSA. They fit the gauge and have been 100% reliable.
  3. Federal Syntec 150gr runs flawless in both of my Sig P320 X5 Legions using the 12# factory recoil spring. I shoot about 300 rounds a week in practice and USPSA matches. I hope ammo prices start to come down soon, my stash of the Federal Syntec 150gr will be gone by Labor Day.
  4. Noticed today mine has done the same thing in the same place on an X5 Legion after approx 4850 rounds. Called Sig, they said it is not covered by warranty because it does not affect the operation of the gun. Warranty does not cover "cosmetic" issues. Not a big deal but I was hoping for more from Sig on a $900 Legion.
  5. Thanks, I did verify before hand the correct size was in fact 5/64 hex.
  6. Can anyone recommend a good bit set that works with Wheeler Fat Wrench? I purchased a small Hex and Torx set at Lowe's made by Dewalt and the quality is terrible. The very first time I used the 5/64 hex to mount a red dot on my wife's CO gun, it slipped in the head of the screw at 10 in/lbs. My go to set of hex wrenches fit perfectly and tighten without issue. I thought the Dewalt name was a safe bet but it seems the tolerances are not near as good as I thought. And yes, I'm sure it slipped in the head of the screw and not the Wheeler Fat Wrench torque stopping at 10 in/lbs. I would like to have both the Hex set and the Torx set of the more common smaller sizes for most gunsmithing. Thanks
  7. Per USPSA rules (if that is what you are shooting) you are permitted to apply a reasonable amount of pressure on the magazine while in the gauge to pass. USPSA Competition Rules March 20 20 v2 115 APPENDIX E1 – Magazine Measurement Magazine Measurement Procedure Measurements on magazines are as follows: 5.561” (141.25 mm) 6.742” (171.25 mm) The primary magazine measuring device shall be the EGW mag gauge. A magazine needs to conform to the length limit as well as the gauge to comply with our rules. The gauge width extends to infinity. No curved, collapsible, extendable, or similar types of magazines will be allowed. If a base pad does not conform to the configuration of the gauge, a ruler may be used to measure the overall length as pictured above. The magazine shall be placed into the gauge without significant force or depression. It must lie so that the back of the magazine is flush against the gauge. The follower may be depressed, or slight pressure may be applied, to ensure proper fit. Some non telescoping base pads fit loosely on the bottom of the magazine, hence the magazine may need to be “clicked in” on the mag gauge, using slight pressure. If the magazine fit or procedure is questioned, the Range Master’s call will be final.
  8. Will the Romeo 3 physically fit in the cutout?
  9. Looks like you got the newer revised mounting holes. Just FYI, if you got the original case with your X5, the manufacture date is in small print on a sticker at one end of the case.
  10. * Edit Update: * Seems my new Red Dot needed a little more effort to move the elevation adjustment past a sticking point. After I moved it a few time to the max and min adjustments, it now moves smoother through the entire range of 28 clicks. Back to the range...
