  1. Berry's 2020 Area 1 Championship has been rescheduled and relocated to Nampa Idaho. We would love to see you all out there! https://practiscore.com/2020-area-1-championship/register
  2. Have you played with the Ruger PCC? A local shooter just bought one with the tandemkross kit. He loves it so far.
  3. I forgot about the Techwell magwell, doesn't affect functionality, but sure makes those reloads eaiser.
  4. I really like the bullet I shoot and have no desire of changing. I'm heading out tonight to go test the AA7 load.
  5. I have a few goliaths, and a few standard glock mags with taran plus 6 base pads for reloads. The surprising mag for me is the magpul PMAG 27 GL9. I have never had an issue with it.
  6. I dabble in PCC, rarely shoot it in USPSA (every time I shoot a USPSA match with it, I think how much fun it would be with a handgun), but shoot it in the 2x4 3 gun division and steel challenge. I'm no expert but if my gear isn't working I am not having fun. Below are the items I have found work well for me. Keep in mind I have no ties to any of these brands, I just want a PCC that runs 100% of the time. The lower: JP or Jones have treated me well, but haven't played with any others. I was told that the mag sits at a better angle/distance from the chamber and this assists with reliability. The bolt: JP all the way. The Barrel: I've played with ramped and non ramped barrels, and am currently running a taccom ramped 14.5 with muzzle break pin and welded. The ramped had to be grounded down to fit into the Jones lower I currently utilize. Buffer System: I love the JP Silent Captured Springs and have been a big fan for a while now. When it came to the PCC I chose the JP standard weight short stroke. One day I want to play with the Heavy version, but not a priority right now. Everything else I don't believe will impact the PCC's ability to fire with every round. I have a hyperfire trigger, a Gibbs upper, a Oden works forearm, and a mft minimalist stock (considering switching out). This isn't intended to be a Ford vs. Chevy type of conversation. This post is intended for those that want to learn what works and what doesn't with a PCC. What other items/brands do you have that make your PCC run flawlessly?
  7. Thanks for pointing that out. I have read them and understand the purpose in greater detail.
  8. People do a lot of things at major matches that I will never understand. That is one of the tamer things that I have seen as well.
  9. I function fire after cleaning, hasn't been an issue before.
  10. Thank you, that wasn't the first google hit for me.
  11. Oh strange, I found a webpage, but the currency was all in euro.
  12. Is there a US based distributor for them?
  13. I wear foam ear plugs so I don't have to listen to anyone.
  14. I'm a very superstitious individual from my baseball playing days. I need the same Gatorade flavors, same brand of ear plugs, can't shoot a round that's touched the ground.
  15. I have become a range chicken picking my brass, and I'm trying to build up my supply as well. That's a good point on the cost.
  16. What is your go to seating die for 38 Super Comp?
  17. Barry, I'll take a look at my 50 yard grouping. My off hand 25 yard group showed no issues on Saturday when I checking my zero. I'll throw it on a rest and shoot 50 yards this week. Thanks for the input.
  18. CHA-LEE, honestly it's a cost issue. I can get twice as much with other powders. I will probably settle on 3N38, mainly because I don't want anything other than myself to impact my performance. I am shooting 38 SC, and will take a look at the reloading section. Thanks for the input.
  19. Before every match, and when it needs it between practice sessions. I would hate to have a gun issue during a match that was directly related to me not cleaning my firearm.
  20. I'm aware that is usually the case, but I'm not seeing that with 3N38 at 173 PF. Am I stuck with 3N38, or is there another powder I could look at?
  21. The gun I purchased came with a cmore slide ride with 6 MOA. I like the dot size, but not sold on the dot yet. I purchased a Sig Romeo 3 XL to play with.
  22. Just got into open, and I bought 4 pounds of 3N38 to pair with my Accura Outdoors 124 grain bullets. It shoots lights out in my DVC open gun. I am going to play with AA7 as a cheaper substitute for practice, but it is very dirty. What are some powders you have used with a plated bullet and had success with?
  23. If you move to horseshoe bend, there are three clubs at most 45 minutes away. Gem County Gun Club would be the closest that hosts USPSA matches. Then there is Nampa and Parma that are a little further south.
