  1. I change them in the main gun I shoot every January. New recoil, mag, and main spring. Cheap insurance since with my luck they would go bad at a big match.

  2. Timeriffic is a must have. It lets me pre set all my notice volumes for any day of the week. I have it go into silent mode at 9 at night, back to full volume at 5AM and vibrate at 7:30 when the work day starts. I have a different set of times for the weekend. It also lets me change the color of the blinking LED based on the type of message I have. Like green for home email, blue for a text message, purple for a missed call etc ad it is free.

    Astro for file managing

Better Keyboard lets me give my keyboard a Florida State University theme

Cam Card lets you snap a picture of a business card and it imports all the info to your contacts

Ringdroid lets you make a ring tone from any mp3 file

  3. Well, my advice comes from jumping around for a while and finally settling into 2 main divisions. If you know you will go to open, then go ahead and jump in and start there. You can bypasss(for now) some of the things that I have seen run new shooters off. I see many new people go to production and get fed up with all the reloading, the minor scoring and having to plan out a stage around 10 round limits. A Texas star to a newer person can be bad. This gets in their mind and they quit having fun and leave the sport. Now, with open once you have working equipment you can focus on watching the targets, trigger pull and movement. Someone local will probably have a backup open gun they would probably loan you for a couple of matches and might even have one for sale if you ask. Just don't take it to a match until you know it runs 110% or else you will hate open and your decision to go that way. Since you seem new to STI's try to get a local shooter that has working equipment to take you under their wing. They will be glad to.

  4. New to the forum as well, will post my info in a bit, did you make the steel match today? I had shot the SEPSA match yesterday (from GA so I normally am shooting steel 2nd Sat. in Brunswick) and stayed down here to shoot the steel match today at Ancient City. Had a good time, hope to be back. The guys at SEPSA are fun to shoot with, many of them make it to Brunswick for our matches up there as well.

Hope you had a good first match today!

    Enjoy shooting with you Saturday.

Next weekend at SAPSA. Hope to see you there.

    Mario.

  5. That rumor is completely untrue, ask me how I know <_< To the best of my knowledge the July 15th ish update will be the first update that will have percentages included for the new classifiers. Remember USPSA does not really support the site by sending the HHF to me. I have to gather the info one division at a time and one classifier at a time from the USPSA pages. This equates to mucho time involved. I keep getting emails asking if I/we ever plan to include the new classifiers. I answer everyone with a yes, but it will take time. If you would like to email me the club name and date you shot a new classifier with and a link to their website if they have one, it would really cut down on the time it takes to get this done. I had a local club do 4 of the new ones in a special classifier match last weekend and my club will do 6 of the new ones in August. So, once again please be patient and they will be coming as the data comes in.

    Thanks,

  6. You can load up all your primer tubes in minutes and then go to town loading!

    Hope this is useful,

    DougC

I keep hearing people say you can load your tubes in minutes, but how? I have a couple of dozen primer tubes, but how can I fill them from the large tube that comes with the RL 100?

  7. I received my 10K order of Winchester SRP's last week. I had ordered them from PV in February 2009. I was still quite happy to take custody of the shipment. :)

10K, what a waste of shipping space :roflol: When I made my orders I called and asked how many would fit in one hazmat fee and went with that  Like I said I am not hurting right now and any locals that need some I can spare a couple of thousand.
