  1. The worst is if you work on lots of guns and then you find a mystery spring and can’t for the life of you figure out which gun it belongs to! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I held a comfortech stock up to the Franchi and determined that it can be made to work, but like the Benelli trigger guard, is slightly different dimensions and will look funky, and stick out in spots where it can potentially snag. Instead, I chopped my stock and installed a Limbsaver Airtech, and it seems like a comparable alternative to the comfortech but for much less money. I can find the model I used if needed, I think it was for the Beretta. It was so close that I just belt-sanded a few fractions of an inch off the part where it meets the stock, and it looks almost factory. No need for a grind-to-fit model Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I have the Defiant Stock 1 Small Frame with some upgrades from PD, and it blows away the Cajunized CZ SP-01 Shadow I used to have. I’m just not sure if I can fit a magwell on it. I really like the new rear slide serrations, functionally speaking. I also love the one-of-a-kind front and back strap enhancements they did on this model. I’m a little jealous of the bull barrel on the new Master models... but I LOVE this pistol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Yup, great point. Benelli’s have a stupid long LOP. The Franchi is the same way also. It’s good to have them fit for LOP and POI by a professional, which adds more money. I just use a bandsaw and belt sander. I just put a new Limbsaver Airtech on my Affinity, and a good pad is definitely needed to soften the recoil on such a light shotgun. I do really like the Beretta Kickoff system also Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. You are saying that you have anecdotal evidence that lots more people are shooting Beretta over Benelli, and the only reason is because they are cheaper? Is there anything else you’d like to add to further explain? Also, I’m wondering if “all of your friends” who shoot Berettas are also Marines, making their choice of shotgun more meaningful than an ordinary civi, or if they’re not Marines but their choice of shotgun is more meaningful because they’re friends with you, and you are a Marine? Thanks for your help Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I have the NC Star, but I wanted this one lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Today only! This is an awesome bag, and for half off, is priced at Nc Star level. I would pick this up now if you are thinking of getting a new bag anytime soon https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1022231411?pid=909812 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. CZ must’ve gotten to them! [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Alright, good luck bro! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Aw man, I hope they come through and if so, hope the magwell fits! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I got a notification about this today. The specs are very appealing, and I love the Beretta 92 in my hand. I do wonder how the new trigger system will be received. http://www.beretta.com/en/new-92X-performance/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Not bad at all! Is that your first time doing it yourself? I have done many things to my firearms but this still scares me. I wouldn’t go any more forward yet, you can always remove more later. Maybe polish it up and give it a go first Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Thanks I was able to find an Odin 16” intermediate locally, so I think I will test it and then maybe sell my lightweight 16” middy to make up some of the cost if I’m happy with the reliability. The lighter barrel does get pretty hot quickly, so I think this will be a bit better for me if it works out Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Hey have you figured this out? I can’t find any info online about it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Yes, Walther has been doing the program for a long time now, but I bet they haven’t paid much at all. I recall checking over the various competition rosters last year and seeing maybe about 5% of competitive shooters, if that, were shooting Walther. Here’s the thing about Walther that shooters who transition over may soon discover: their aftermarket support has always been abysmal. For most of their guns you have one or two options for sights. Mags are expensive. Parts are not easy to come by, and there aren’t many shops that work on them. Obviously they are pushing harder now with this product, trying to reach out to competitive shooters. This could work “if” they get it together with the community and vendors for aftermarket support ( ala Glock and CZ). Will there be an ecosystem by which competitive shooters can get parts, customize guns, etc? That’s the big “if” here Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I wonder about the Primary Arms 1-6 FFP with 5.56 Raptor ACSS. Anyone have that one? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Thanks man. I didn’t realize this one has been out for so long. I remember the fluted one but not this one. So do you think I’ll gain with this over the Odin 16” mid w AGB I have already? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. It is! I think it’s a lot stronger than it looks. I beat it on the bench a few times just to see if it would hold up. Should be fine for tossin in a barrel Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Ok I was able to get it clocked correctly after a few more tries. I guess it wasn’t as bad as the Aero mount (ditched that for a LaRue), and it’s definitely LIGHT and looks good, so it was worth it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I also should add that you’re supposed to keep the port 100% closed when shooting .22 ammo with the SLR Sentry AGB Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Has anyone heard anything about these? Was thinking about trying the 1.9 to replace my 16” middy from Odin. I like the specs - 18” intermediate gas, 1-8 twist, 1.9 lbs for under $300. Price seems low, any corners cut? Any reviews out there? https://www.whiteoakarmament.com/shop/barrels/varmint-target-informal-competition/3-gun-mk-223-5-56-18-1-8-twist-w-gas-tube.html Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. If I’m a betting man...and I am... I would wager that we see a flood of used CZ and Tanfo DA/SA CO and production guns hit the used market this year and the prices will drop. Just a note for purchase planning purposes Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Thanks guys I’m going to try one more time this weekend. I had tried to estimate the overclocking and account for it with no luck the first few times. I want it to be exactly true for obvious reasons Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. I plan to transition from practice to actual 3-gun events this year and I currently have the Lucid L7 1-6 which was by the cheapest out of all of these. Do you guys have any opinions on this one? I have only noticed some slight fisheye effect that sometimes a nuisance and seems like smaller eyebox than others when zoomed in. Should I be looking at the Steiner 4x right now to start out with or stick with this? I’m a little apprehensive about beating this scope up too much and losing my investment completely. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. If anyone has experience with this I’d really appreciate advice. I tried aligning this handguard several times during installation, but every time i got it torqued it would slide over just a little, and be visibly misaligned with my upper. I like the hand guard, but I can’t live with a canted rail like this. Now I’ve loosened and tightened it a half dozen times and also wondering if I need to add more thread sealant, and what should I use if so? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
