  1. So I am just delving into carry optics, and I wanted to read this thread to see what was relevant, but I ended up more confused. Everyone keeps saying that the shadow 2 isn't CO legal because of the 45oz weight limit, yet the rule book states 59oz weight limit? So is the shadow 2 good to go in CO?
  2. I'm surprised no one mentioned it already, but The 3-Gun Show has a ton of really informative podcasts.
  3. I think if I decide to build a specific upper for Limited, I will go the Ultradyne route. On a 20" barrel, it would be about the longest sight radius possible. Right now I am looking at retrofitting a current 18" upper I have.
  4. Dang, I really like that. I think that is the route I am gonna go.
  5. Any word on 3-Gun Nation Midwest Regionals? It is one of the closest majors to me, and I was unable to go last year.
  6. My second choice was one of the Yankee Hill Machine FSPs, I like that I don't need to remove my comp to install. How do you modify them, if you don't mind me asking?
  7. So I am coming into this kinda late, but I am going to convert my 18" upper to be an Iron sight rifle for limited/factory division. I am really debating on using this- https://www.brownells.com/rifle-parts/sights/front-sights/ar-15-fixed-clamp-on-front-sight-prod85934.aspx?avs|Make_3=AR-15 for my front sight. I like that it is barrel mounted, I can push it all they to the back of the comp. I am just curious if anyone has any reviews or has used one yet?
  8. For what its worth, I have been running a Strike Industries Checkmate on my 18" rifle, and it has been an awesome comp for the money. Keeps the muzzle flat and isn't nearly as punishing as some of the other comps out there. I just order the Strike King Comp for my 14.5" to be pinned. For the money, and I believe he says it in one of the comp tests on TTAG, strike industries brakes are awesome.
  9. So I have to chime in here, one of my first posts. I was at my local Scheels (for anyone who doesn't know its similar to say a bass pro shop) in the firearms section. They have a display of new AR-15's of various manufacturers, and one is chambered .223 wylde. Salesman proceeds to tell the customer, " You don't want that one. We haven't even been able to find ammo for it yet. Its a proprietary cartridge." I had literally just finished building my 3-Gun rifle in .223 Wylde. Needless to say I was not impressed.
  10. Does anyone shoot or use a sub 2000 for competition? Either Uspsa or 3-Gun? It seems like the most affordable way to get into PCC, but I have seen mixed reviews about Kel-Tec and the sub 2000. If this has been covered before please just put in the link, I am new to brianenos. Thanks!
