  1. I did on one of my favorite powders; BE-86. I ended up with 32lbs at $200 per 8lb jug including shipping. You can't find it for that price anywhere.
  2. My automated RL1100 makes a struggling motor sound when a CBC case goes through the Lee FCD. I am worried that it is going to break a chain.
  3. I bought a bunch of powder from Bruno a few months ago and they told me they were discontinuing Alliant powders. Perhaps due to lack of supply?
  4. We bought a S&W Shield plus in .30 Super Carry and we like it quite a bit. 17+1 rounds of capacity in that tiny gun is impressive. I bought a ton of pulled bullets from AR, and a case of Blazer Brass to keep me in cases for a while. I have a bunch of Longshot on hand for 10mm, which is the powder that gives the highest velocities according to Hodgdon. I think a SMG chambered for this cartridge would be superb.
  5. Any time I try to load light with a slow powder, like N350, BE-86, I end up with pierced primers. Light loads just work better with fast powders.
  6. My 8" Shooting Innovations barrel is extremely reliable, as long as I use good magazines. It will shoot sub 1" groups at 25 yards with handloaded pulled 147gr HST's. With drop info from Strelok Pro I can reliably hit a torso sized steel at 300 yards, probably 90% hit rate using just a 1x prism.
  7. Even Power Pistol has fairly minimal flash from a 16" 9mm
  8. A powder that doesn't get much mention for 10mm is BE-86. The Alliant book loads are very close to what I get from my G40. 1260fps from a 180gr Precision Delta with 8.5gr of BE-86 is nothing to sneeze at. I haven't shot any of my Longshot loads, yet, but I have high hopes for that powder, as well as Shooters World Heavy Pistol.
  9. I load the 65gr version of the Lehigh XD to over 1850fps from my carry gun. They are the most accurate loads I have ever put through that gun.
  10. I have loaded a bunch of aluminum 9mm with slow powder and lighter charges. If I have a load with a 147gr 9mm that I like with N350, I will step it down to a 135gr bullet for an aluminum case. They don't like to be reloaded more than once, maybe twice if you are lucky. The great thing is how ridiculously smooth they go through a progressive press.
  11. CZ P10C with a Holosun 509T and an Olight PL Pro Valkyrie. Carry ammo is a 65gr Lehigh XD loaded to 1860fps.
  12. It is good, but if you shoot suppressed the ammonia smell is horrible. The max book load for a 55gr bullet has been safe for me in all of my rifles, including a particularly tight .223 Wylde chamber that will blow primers with book loads of AR Comp.
  13. Which I also adjust. To properly set the indexing, manually cycle the press with the handle, gradually adjusting the stop screw. Once proper indexing is achieved, screw the home switch in just until the light on the switch illuminates and then tighten it down. Following the instructions in the manual will lead to malfunctions.
  14. My RF100 ran like crap, until I got the Entirely Crimson primer tube adapter.
  15. Good call. If you aren't going to use CCI primers, it isn't worth owning.
  16. I have had to back my screw out twice now as my 1100 driven by an Ammobot Rev3 has worn in.
  17. I have tried a 6.6gr HS-6 load with a 147 and it was snappy as hell in my open Glock. I haven't tried it in my CK. I usually run a 124 over 7.7gr of Silhouette, or a 115 over 8.3gr and they are super soft.
  18. Not using the knob will remove the bell, but not add any additional crimp.
  19. It is, but this can sometimes happen when a combination die is set up for a .355 jacketed bullet and then a .356 jacketed bullet is used. It tries squeezing the brass while the bullet is still being shoved into it, and the jacketed bullet won't give the way a coated or plated one does.
  20. 125gr HAP bullets are .356 rather than .355, combine that with too much crimp and there is your issue.
  21. I have a braced and suppressed 9mm AR that I pieced together for home defense. I swapped in a Shooting Innovations ramped barrel and bolt and it is super reliable and fun to shoot. It sits next to a suppressed Kel Tec RDB. Each has their own purpose.
  22. No, some powders leave a yellow corn meal looking residue behind. Pretty much any of the AA powders do it. Major Pistol is a clone of AA7.
