  1. You are correct, it's a DVC 3 with *Different* slide cuts and a full length frame for only $900 more :)...
  2. Appears to be the DVC 3 with TTI engravings.

    G43X

I might be in the minority here but the 43 is already too big for 6+1. The 43x is just a 43 barrel with a single stack 19 grip. The 48 is a single stack 19. If only Glock was smart they would remake the 43 to match capacity of the 365 or at least fit in an extra round or 2.
  4. No Glock trigger will ever feel like a 1911. I find the Gen 5 trigger is better than previous gens. I find the Salient Arms better and safe for carry though I do prefer Zev for competition/general shooting.
  5. Keep us updated on progress. I was hoping to order one soon!
  6. A true 34 barrel in a 35 slide is crazy loose. I agree, conversion barrel will fix this 99.9%
  7. You won't have any problems with the G23 frame if you get a complete upper and 9mm mags. That said, most I know just buy a conversion barrel and seem to have good luck even when using the .40 mags.
  8. I appreciate everyone's response/advice. Nothing against DAA at all I know it is a great company. I spent almost $1,000 for a full setup from them based on recommendations. Again, I just didn't do my due diligence when purchasing the holster. I know I was just joking. My dad shot USPSA for a long time and has at least $30k in limited and SS guns sitting around(hasn't competed in the last 5 years or so). You are right!
  9. Do I really deserve the condescending remarks? I made a comment based on my expectations. Nowhere on the Alpha-X description does it say "Buy our $225 holster but you have to fit it yourself". Perhaps I was ignorant which is a fair statement. Kind of like buying a $3,000 gun but needing to get another $1,000 worth of work and magazines to make it run.
  10. .40 No it doesn't say anything about the block to my knowledge. but it does say Any adjustment or modification to the holster design may render it unsafe or cause malfunction.
  11. Thanks for the responses. Matt1, I understand what your saying, however, i'm no expert and we are talking about placing a loaded firearm into this. Safety is priority #1 and I am personally not comfortable with a DIY holster. I paid for the most expensive holster available and expected a perfect fit. Sure, Glock frames may vary slightly so maybe DAA should make more than 1 block for the different Gens. yigal and frgood, thank you for the reassurance.
  12. I purchased a new DAA Alpha-X for my Glock and it's not even close to a fit. I contacted DAA and they told me to just Dremel the insert... For $225 I expected a perfect fit out of the box. Am I wrong to expect that? It's not even close to fitting, substantial material needs to be removed to make it fit. Thoughts? Ideas?
  13. I prefer the Gen 5 in every aspect.
  14. Great points. I may have to check out L10 and decide whether to shoot the SS or the 2011 both in .45. Or just go for Limited with my Glock.
  15. Thanks for all the replies. That makes my decision easy.
  16. Is there any place for a .45 in any division these days? Does a nice custom .45 have any value in the competitive shooting world?
  17. Don't forget the gun is only part of the expense. Add a quality rig with pouches and holster can cost as much as the gun. Lot's of ammo, quality eyes and ears, etc.
  18. Nobody has anything to add? Perhaps this question is in the wrong section.
  19. I am in the exact same spot with the same shotgun. Everyone I know has a Nordic but the Lancer is tempting!
  20. This is how I live my life... except when i have a bad day at work then it's a question of how quickly I can sneak out of the office and shoot!
  21. Currently for 3 Gun I've got a Zev Glock 17, Benelli M1 Super 90 and a custom AR with Vortex red dot. USPSA I inherited my Dad's Les Baer Krebs Custom SS .45 and hope to purchase a 2011 soon!
  22. Doing the new member thing - My name is Rick and I currently live in MN. Looking to shoot some 3gun and USPSA this year. This forum has already been a great resource and I look forward to contributing!
