Wasn't planning on anything in particular. Just was thinking about changing rear sight and wanted input on what width of notch

What is the recommended width of the rear sight to the front sight? My front sight is .140 wide and my rear sight notch is .140. It seems that when i look down my sights there is a lot of day light on the rear sight. My pistol is an old Canadian Para Ordnance P16-40 with factory sights. I am thinking about replacing my rear sight to a small notch and wanted to get some feedback first before i buy

I can't seem to get my camera settings low enough to upload a picture. It is old military type dove tail sight if that helps any

I would like to put an adjustable rear sight on my P16-40. I don't want to replace the front sight. Can somebody tell me of a sight that will fit my pistol? I have emailed several companies asking the same question but they haven't responded back I also would like to know where i can buy self tapping screws for magazine base pads Any recommendations would be appreciated
