  1. Just a heads up, you can try playing with the spring weights and/or with shock buffers to change how the gun handles as far as dot tracking. Something happened with a new lot that’s out with SWMP. My gun has smaller popels than yours(my buddy runs a chaos and had sams results with this lot ending in 314) and I’m having to put 10.5 with a ton of crimp to make 171pf. Before I put a ton of crimp on brass, I was getting a ton of unburnt powder in this lot. That didn’t seem to be an issue in previous lot numbers. It does handle very well, and the dot tracks straight up and down. It did take some playing with the springs and shock buffs for me tho.
  2. Yeah I’m not sure what happened on the most recent batch, but it is slow af and leaves a ton of unburnt powder in the gun
  3. I live in FL and did load development in the mid 80’s. I need 10.5 to hit 170 pf with a 124gr. This issue is, most folks use around 9.8. There was a slower lot that went out. How much powder are you using in what temp?
  4. I’m running it on an auto drive, and it meters perfectly with the 1050 powder drop.
  5. It should be slower in the colder weather. That’s what ive heard. I’m not sure what’s up, but this lot of powder is way slower than others. That’s the load I’ve heard most are using. 9.7-9.8 @1.170. I’m @10.5 and I’m barely @170.
  6. That’s a good idea. I have a ton of srp. I’ll give em a shot before I buy a bunch of magnum primers. Thnx dude.
  7. Thnx. I’m gonna see if the magnums will help at all.
  8. Dang it, I’m already @1.175. What’s you load data? Are you up in the 10’s? I’m thinking about using a magnum primer as well.
  9. I ran auto comp for a long time. And the gun handled very similar to the way it does now with the major pistol. I may try the auto pistol also just to see what it’s like
  10. That’s more of what i was expecting. That’s in the cold also. I’m at about 10.5gr with the same lot # you have. When I get more, I guess I’ll have to do load development again (which kinda blows)
  11. I’m running at 1050 with Ammo bot. I run them about 1800 with about 10.4 grains of shooters world. I use that little brush for sale at Ben Stoeger’s website. It’s only about $20 and it solved the issue. I didn’t have to put any bearings or any of those items on the press. I recommend checking it out for sure. It snapped on the press, it goes after the powder drop, before the bullet feeder. It works great
  12. I also am having some unburnt powder in my Akai. It’s still shooting very accurate and consistent. I’m curious what comes of this.
  13. That more of what i was expecting. I was shocked to find out that I was going to need 10.5 to make major @ around 170pf. And this gun is the same speed as my last gun in which I used 7.3 of autocomp to make 170. I may shoot them an email or something.
  14. I’m having the same results. Running 10.4-10.5 for 124’s to make major. Did you contact them? I was also wondering if something was wrong. This just didn’t seem right. I’ve heard 9.8 is kind of the magic number for a full size gun running 124’s. I only have 2 1/8” popel holes.
  15. This is what I heard that a 124gr bullet would be around 170pf. I have an Akai with an island barrel with 2, .125 popels. I went up to 10.3 and tried again. I ended up right at 165pf. I’m going to have to go up to 10.5 which I thought was crazy. It shot great and it’s clean, but dayumm that’s a lot of powder. Anyone else having results like this. Oal is 1.170
  16. I have the PT insert and my new open gun has the new cheely. The pt Insert doesn’t work. It won’t sit in it properly or lock
  17. There are def those type of RO’s out there. Would be nice if we could get some fresh faces, and younger CRO’s that actually shoot to step up. I know here locally we have some new folks looking to get CRO certified before next years nats. It’s a slow process, but as long as we’re making progress I see that as a good thing. Hopefully we’ll have fixed some more of the issues by next year. Most of the folks that actually attended this year said that it was def better than previous years. Hopefully we can continue that.
  18. Stage 7 was the one i was referring to. I haven’t really looked at the other one to figure out if it was worth the risk.
  19. Most folks used carts in this match. You were allowed to take long guns off the carts where ever it was as long as the muzzle orientation stayed the same. For example, if you cart was muzzle down it needed to stay that way till you got to the preload table. Shannon worked with range masters to make sure this wasn’t an issue. But you are correct on the pistol thing but everyone was made well aware. The 3 ft rule shouldn’t come into play. I’m not sure who the genius was that started setting rifles on the ground, but what a dumb move. Keith was the only guy that was actually faster doing that. The next 3 finishers on that stage actually did it correctly.
  20. s#!thole? I don’t believe that to be the case. Everyone there loved the stages and seemed to have a great time with the exception of a few. It’s going to be there again in 2020
  21. You will def want a cart or a way to tote your gear easily.
  22. Is there a trick to keep it from snagging on the piece of brass above the one that it’s feeding? That’s where I’m having the issues. Mostly on 9mm. 40 and 223 work great. Unfortunately I load mostly 9mm tho.
  23. Yeah, the whole 3GN thing is kinda crazy. How they went from the most influential group, to all but gone is crazy. Kind of an end of an era. We’ll see if UML can continue to grow. In my opinion, it would be nice to get some type of point series, and national standings organized kind of like 3GN did. I guess we shall see.
  24. I shot the last western regional in UT a few years ago. Keep in mind this is before everyone was boycotting 3GN. There was only 100 shooters or so. I think that’s when Charles decided that was the last western match for them. I personally live in FL and I love traveling out west to different matches. It’s nice to get out of you current environment and meet some new folks.
