  1. Bad enough that we can't shoot (competitively) in most divisions, let us ban states have Limited 10.
  2. Going to said practice this morning.
  3. I need to get my butt out to some classes. There is a local practice every other week that i shoot, but it's not much in the way of teaching. An hour away there is a practice I've been out too that i got some good feedback and advice from an 'A' shooter and MD of a monthly match i attend. I should make the effort to get out there more. Tough with kids to take both Saturday for practice and Sunday for a match.
  4. Yeah, i see that on the USPSA site. Kinda a haul for me, but i may try.
  5. Where is this class? i take it not in the CT/MA/RI area.
  6. Decided to give the Speedcross a try. Very impressed so far after a month of use. I needed some footwear and I'm picky about my feet. These things are damn comfortable and get some good traction. I can see why they are so popular in the sport........even though i only see a handful of guys wearing them at my local matches.
  7. Probably around 5k. I tell my wife: I don't own a boat, I don't own a motorcycle, I don't play golf and I don't go out to the bar. All those things would cost me more. Plus, she'd have to put up with me being a grumpy a_-hole around the house if I didn't get to shoot.
  8. Don't wait. You're going to be kicking yourself.
  9. Yeah, i wish i had one close by to get too. I see how much work it is running this matches. I'm all for helping run a squad or the scoring tablet. Gotta find a class that i can get too.
  10. Hell, you can always post up that G34 in the classifieds, I'm looking.
  11. Haven't started reloading yet, but I've been saving most of my brass for the past year. (I don't always pick it up at a match.......shooting 9mm) So, I've got a good stockpile of 9mm and .223 for when i start.
  12. Interesting. A buddy i shoot with always has a mag in his hand when he's "air gunning" a stage. There is also an IDPA guy who loves to tell me stuff that I'm doing isn't allowed in IDPA. (While we are shooting an USPSA match)
  13. Something i should look into. I certainly don't mind helping out, but i should know all the rules I suppose.
  14. These are what I'm looking at getting. I don't need/want all that tactical stuff going on. I just want that 5th pocket for my damn phone. I'm so used to wearing my Carhartt's, I NEED that pocket now.
  15. Just ordered the Pocket Pro II. The ios app just wasn't cutting it. It would rarely capture all my shots, no matter how much I adjusted the damn thing.
  16. Awesome. Thats a skill (hobby) I'd love to have.
  17. Just got my intitial classification in Production. Time to get to work inproving. Match on Sunday.
  18. Some really good tips in here. Thanks. I really need to start a dry fire routine.
  19. I'll have to take a look at those. Thanks. Wanted to get the Dawson's, but my G19 is running double duty FOR NOW.
  20. Being from CT and didn't do the whole mag registry, I'm stuck with Production. (Could shoot limited 10 too) Shooting my carry G19 for now. Certainly going to upgrade to the 17 or 34 in time.
  21. Been browsing this site in and off for a few years. Just started shooting USPSA this year and figured it was time to join and gather some insite from the real deal. Set a goal of improving match to match, so far so good through the first 4. Should have my classification when the next round comes out.
