  1. To respond to a pm in general, 400 + rds a day, 2 instructors, all skill levels will be worked with accordingly...
  2. That's the best we can do here at this time...
  3. Hello all, We are trying to get enough shooters together to bring Max and Travis to south Louisiana for a 2 day class on Sept. 23 and 24. The fee is $500 a shooter and we have a few slots still available. Please PM me if interested....
  4. I meant in terms of that stage, which is usually enough to put you out of the match if your competitive...
  5. They are nice but it really sucks when they break. You're done for the day....
  6. 95 % of the points possible and no screw-ups makes a big difference in the end...
  7. I got a cover fron undercover on a new Tacoma and I like it because it only weights about 50 pounds, locks well, seals pretty well, and is possible to take on and off by myself when hauling large objects. Factory bedliner but am looking at the new roll on rhino lining with texture because my bed is slick.
  8. It looks perfect. I'm anxiously awaiting my SC limited too....Damn he builds a sexy gun!!!
  9. My wife likes the new S&W M&P with the small insert in the frame. In 9 or 40 it seems to be catching on...
  10. Very nicely done...I fumbled through it a few weeks ago but the pictures are great!!
  11. A good friend has had 2 SV's done that way by Virgil. Great looking guns. They seem to be very durable and extremely slick...
  12. I saw a buddy fish a hogue powerspeed out of an overgrown field after a competitor threw it away there after dropping his gun for about the 4th time. Not the most secure thing I've ever seen....
  13. I called S&W and got .40 mags when none were available anywhere else that I could find. Even if you back order some I had a buddy get some in about a week...
  14. That's a shame because I picked up a used 66 years ago from one of those types of brokers and it was excellent.
  15. Let the games begin. Cheers, -br I have to agree. If we didn't want every possible advantage, we would leave stock sights, and factory triggers on production guns too. It seems ridiculous to me but I've seen a glock modified with a toothpick in place to improve the trigger. As long as there is a score sheet involved we have to get every edge we can get to be competitive, or we can sit back and shoot, and not be concerned with the score, but that's really not in human nature. The powers that be have decided what is legal, and if we don't like it we can either vote them out, take their jobs and do better ourselves, design something better on our own, or even worse, don't play the game. We play in the parameters that they set.

Too freakin' cool... Please tell me where to get some of those!!!
  17. Due to the posts and the articles I've read I ordered a left handed DOH today to give it a try. Is it necessary to get the TEK-LOK attatchment? I really couldn't discern the info from the guy on the phone, and they said it would take 6-7 weeks to get it. Plenty of time to adjust the order if necessary.

For those not familiar with South Louisiana, that is a way of living for lots folks, and they give everyone else a bad name. We have a lot of shooters here who lost everything, and they have been jumping at the chance to "get started". It's a sad state of affairs. It's really good to see a few of our folks back on the range...
  19. Another good, clean, soft recoil powder is WST. +1 Loaded unknown thousands in .45 with 230 lead and loved it for IPSC. Very accurate, nice soft push, and pretty clean.
  20. Has anybody caught a glimpse of a show on MTV where they get these guys to show up and try to beat really strange personal records? It would be neat to see them try reloads, triple sixes, or Jerry's revolver feats. The general public has no clue of what we do, but I still feel we have to try to educate them as much as possible. I know we won't win them over, but maybe we can slow the flow of dis-information...
  21. Maybe a new idea for the dropped primers. Remove the spring clip that holds the primer cup, and build up the lips of the cup with JB weld, epoxy, or whatever you have. I did this a while back to mine and it works great.
  22. Most clubs here in Louisiana on the weekend matches give out $20 to high overall in each division if there are at least 5 or more competitors per category. The winners of divisions get ribbons for M,A,B,(down to third place) and so on if there are a set # of competitors in that class. Nobody is getting rich, but it can at least buy lunch and it is a way to recognize someone in the other classes as well.
  23. DQ, unsafe gun handling. There is no room for "benefit of the doubt" when it comes to safety. We often forget what a round can do if it's released in the wrong direction. The shooter learns a lesson and hopefully everyone learns from it. What if the next time he does the same thing with a start position facing uprange? We have to be responsible for every round we fire.
  24. I may be a little weird but as a lefty I shoot most stages like a righty anyway because I see it as an advantage to be as ambidextrous as possible in this game. As long as I can reach it I can do it, and the righties I squad with here always notice that I can shoot right to left/left to right equally. Train on what's hard to do, make your weakness a strength.
  25. Any idea what Beven's wait list is to do a few of these mags? I will call him this coming week. Thanks. The easiest thing to do is buy the whole mag from him, tuned and ready to go for the same price to buy parts, build, tune, and have them shipped. If I'm not mistaken he tries to keep some on hand so for the price and time it's worth it...
