  1. I've tried 320 and really like it but the availability and cost just don't make it seem like enough of an advantage. However if Hodgdon starts to deal it here in the U.S. maybe both factors could be improved...
  2. Yes. Please post them. Not sure how to do that, but I'll send them to you so feel free if you like...
  3. The gun in the photo was mine, full custom sight tracker built by SV for me and the finish was done through SV (Brandon would know the name of the company since I forgot.) Great looking to start with but it was so thin it wore quickly and began to rust. Had the gun plated by Virgil afterwards, kept it for a while and sold it to splashdown here on the forums. I think if someone were to plate it first( or something similar) the corrosion resistance could be enhanced and it might work. P.S. I also still have all the old original photos of anyone else is interested, I still feel it looked really cool...
  4. Just got a talon tactical for said gun. DOH, left hand, got it in under 2 weeks and for around $50. What's not to like???
  5. I shoot my best stages when I play and joke with friends. This is supposed to be fun and I perform much better when laughing my a$$ of instead of caring about the results.
  6. Same powder, same press, same mods and still get a bit of spillage. Just learned to live with it and shop vac after...
  7. Nicely done. But it makes me sad to think that most people have forgotten what we were SUPPOSED to stand for...
  8. That's the best idea yet!! It would be neat to see what artillery fire would do to a double wide...
  9. Actually BritinUSA that's not a bad idea. My bay is over 300 yards from the house (in the back) so I may give that a try. Trying to be polite but firm of course...
  10. I recently purchased 2500 38 supers, and they seemed to be doing fine but I have found a few (about 5/700) that split after the first firing. Not sure what to think, but plan on keeping a close eye on them.
  11. My wife and I purposely bought 10+ acres in the middle of no-where. My land backs up to swamp, and I built a 10+ ft high, 20 yard wide and 25 yard deep horseshoe bay so I can shoot. I've got target stands, walls, plate racks, the works. Even got the blessing of local law enforcement trainers. Everyone shoots and hunts where I live, but no-one has gone through the effort I have. My neighbor, a cop from a neighboring parish, has taken to some shooting and "training" some friends next door, about 500 feet away. The problem is that they are EVEN WITH MY HOUSE! Also, it's the worst gun handling I've ever seen. Watched a guy shooting behind his back for a while this afternoon. I guess that's cool somewhere... The sucky part is figuring out how do I ask them to move forward and tighten up the gun handling without being a weenie, and jeopardizing my own shooting in the process. Or do I just close the garage doors and hope for the best. Seems like I shouldn't have to. I could be wrong, but it seems like a lose-lose situation.
  12. Just a few things that come to mind. Marvin the Martian. "Get that creature, he's stolen the Alludium Q32 explosive space modulator." Jessie Ventura in Predator. The little guy says "you're bleedin!" Jessie says, "I ain't got time to bleed." and fires three grenades into the lookout's nest. I kinda always relate to that one...
  13. I got the same today, but told them that "after reviewing all the info, they helped me to decide to JOIN the NRA since it is obvious that criminals will not follow the laws and until they can provide me with a 24 hr bodyguard that I prefer to protect myself Hopefully I get a response...
  14. This is cool. Tried evil Evil-It's like heaven!

  17. I also got a lovely return from "StoptheNRA.com" asking for a donation. I'm hoping our responses skew the results and kill their survey but it may be possible that anyone who goes on their site is logged as a supporter.
  18. I absolutely love mine (I have the 2 tone practical model) and have used it to shoot IPSC, at minor, but I do find that slide to frame fit can get loose quick on those guns. Very reliable and a GREAT CCW piece. Me and a bud here call it the "ultimate ladies gun."
  19. FreeStyle with lots of options that's the way I like it. At the end of the day, if there's a well worn path through the stage because everyone shot it the same way, the design could have been better. Couldn't agree more Ray!!!
  20. We all have a few pennies to give, but as a lefty who does just fine in a right handed world I find that it's usually an advantage for me to shoot the stages like a righty. I've learned to move quickly that way and it usually works out fine. Turn the gun on its side when you run and tuck it in close to the body with the muzzle downrange and take off. The only way it ever dings me is a far lean around the right side of a barricade or prop. Work on making a perceived weakness a strength, and you'll be more ambidextrous and better off.
