  1. Does anyone have the new STI Steel and will you share your impressions? I'm shooting a lot of steel events and am thinking about moving to an open style gun. I don't need or want a major power factor so the 9mm Steel model is of interest. I currently have a Sig 320 X5 with the Romeo 1 optic but prefer the 2011 style pistols. Wondering if this is worth the money? Thanks.
  2. After breaking it down I found the sear spring our of alignment and the grip safety wedged. As a result the sear spring finger would not engage. There is not a lot of room for it to wiggle around in there so I'm surprised it moved. I emailed STI and sent some pictures of what I found. I'm waiting for their response and will post an update when I hear what they have to say.
  3. I have a new (1000 rounds) Apeiro 2011. Today at a match my hammer failed to lock back. I tried quickly to see if I could get it to work then switched to my back up gun. I haven't broken it down yet and anticipate some sort of sear or sear spring problem but wanted to see if anyone has ever experienced similar problems or had suggestions on repairs? Thanks, Sent from my SM-G928V using Tapatalk
  4. Good to know I'm not alone. I was starting to resemble the definition of insanity......
  5. As far as holsters I highly recommend taking a look at Red Hill Tactical. I have several for various guns and they make great 2011 holsters. Sent from my SM-G928V using Tapatalk
  6. I have 2 STI's (DVC 3 Gun & Apeiro) both run fantastic. Not a single issue with either. Apeiro has a smoother action but I highly recommend both. I looked around and found deals here on the forum & Gunbroker. New, unfired I didn't pay more than $2,400. Atlas are phenomenal guns but even the Titan is $3,700. Save 5% and your at $3,500. That's a few extra mags and a lots of ammo. Sent from my SM-G928V using Tapatalk
  7. I have both and there is a big difference. SP01 is by far a better competition pistol platform. Sent from my SM-G928V using Tapatalk
  8. I had similar problems and reached out to CZC. They sent me some +10% springs and that seems to have solved the issues. Sent from my SM-G928V using Tapatalk
  9. OAL is a major & frequent problem with CZ'S. If slighy long it just gets stuck. I reload to avoid this problem. I suggest that he check the length to be sure. Sent from my SM-G928V using Tapatalk
  10. I'm a firm believer in high capacity so want as many as legally allowed. Any recommendations on either MBX or the Brazos tuned?
  11. I just purchased a new Limited gun, STI Apeiro in 40 Cal. I need to outfit it with a sufficient number of magazines and the options are overwhelming. New factory STI, MBX or tuned versions for double the money. There are used options of these out there also. I have talked to several people and there doesn't seem to be a consensus so far. Any ideas or suggestions are appreciated.
  12. This design is well established in the Apeiro so STI should have a good idea on potential problems.
