So I have found the source of the problem. The powder measure has developed a Crack in the cast body below the sliding bar. I believe this is causing it to flex and not bell brass properly. I replaced it with an ancient measure that came with the press 25 yrs ago and the problem has seemed to corrected.

re read this and I have a question based on an observation.
When the various wet cleaning methods came about .I started
noticing lots of brass splitting and other sizing issues.so could
this new batch of brass been wet cleaned with some witches brew.
That causes the brass to be "hard" in some way. That is one reason
wet cleaning is /has fell out of favor locally. Any one else notice this?
This certainly could be a reason. I always dry tumbled brass but I have no idea how the seller cleaned this brass. -
I've been reloading 9mm for a while now, almost 25 years and this is the first I'm seeing this new issue.
Currently, I have a dillon carbide sizer, DAA powder funnel, Redding Comp Seating and Redding Comp Crimp. This has been serving me quite well over the past 20k rds. Today however, I opened a bag of range brass that I got off gunbroker and started to notice that most of the brass was not flaring enough to seat the bullet without shaving lead. The offenders were mostly Remington and Brass Blazer but also some Federal If I adjust the funnel flare down I start getting lots of brass shavings on the shell plate and some brass showing fatigue around the neck after the crimp.
Is there something I'm not thinking of that could be causing this?
Thanks in advace!

I thought SW Clean Shot was the Titegroup equivalent?
I don’t see Sport Pistol listed any more. Did Clean Shot replace it?
I hope so, just bought a keg of based on that?!?!?

Sport Pistol is Alliant. -
I’ve been on a 650 for 24 yrs now without a blow up. Just so I’m understanding what’s happening, the primer as it enters primer disc from the tube is detonating? -
Just a FYI
I saw on their Facebook that Brazos will soon have a 147 FP in production. -
I used 3.2 WC244 with bayou 147s. 890fps out of a Glock 17 G5
-
I've been using the loads I shot out of my gen 4 for my gen 5s and havent experienced any issues. About 1.135" bayou bullet 147 fp.
-
That looks like the Caldwell precision app
-
Bayous all the way. He has free shipping right now too!

Chrono’d some diff loads today, mostly sport pistol

Forgive my ignorance, but what is the heavy trigger spring? is it the NY1/2?

Just got back from the range. All my loads shot well with the 147gr 2.7gr of TG at 1.115" being very accurate and a very nice shooting round.
I did notice on most of the brass that i picked up the sides looked burnt. Ill try to upload a picture later. Is this normal when using Titegroup or am i doing something wrong?
In my experience TG burning brass is normal. TG burns super hot.

Since this was the first time out I'm guessing you have a trigger group that has a lower rounded hammer. It's probably just not tall enough to reliably reset. Lots of triggers have this problem in 9mm ARs.

So what's the remedy for this? -
I had the same problem with the OEM Mil-spec trigger. I'm assuming that is what you're using. I use the factory Glock mags so I doubt that your mags are an issue.
Any little bit of grit under the disconnector seems to prevent consistent resets. Get enough and it can lock up the trigger totally.
I simply flushed out the trigger well with non-chlorinated brake cleaner and it worked fine. The down side is that as you fire the carbine dirt and grit will build up in the trigger well. The reset issue then reoccurs and usually in the middle of a stage. A "dirty" powder makes this occur faster.
I cured the problem by installing a Hiperfire Hipertouch 24C.
Thanks XD I'll give that a shot. -
I just got my AR9 10.5 pistol(glock lower) together, and first time out with it I'm encountering an issue where I fire, the gun cycles, but trigger isn't resetting. It does this with hot factory ammo as well as my 147 reloads. Sometimes I can go through a whole mag without an issue, other times it does it every other round. It does it with pmags and ETS, I didn't try a glock factory mag yet. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
Bayou or Precision Bullets?

Just an FYI ordered a case of precision last Sunday and it shipped Monday. Trying them after using bayou for years mainly bc of price. I’m getting hit with sales tax at bayou.
