  1. Tell us more! Like what kind of equipment are you using right now? Is there equipment that you would really like to be using? Are you reloading yet? (Inevitable)
  2. The Glock 48 was a game changer for me. My department carries G45 pistols on duty and so I always concentrated on Glock pistols for my off duty guns and even my competition gun. The G48 didn’t impress me at first with only the 10 round capacity, but I got a bunch of the shield arms mags and made sure they functioned 100% (which they did). Now I’ve got the G48mos with a holosun 507K on it and the TLR7A-sub. To be honest I shoot it as well as my G34. It has turned into my “do all” pistol.
  3. I’ve got solvent. Will that work just as well? I thought it was desirable to use something that also acted as a lubricant without getting the surfaces oily or sticky? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I got a set of dies out that I haven’t used in a few years and apparently when I put them up I didn’t clean them first, so they are nasty. I usually use the Hornady cleaner and dry lube to clean my dies, but I’m out of it. What else is really good for cleaning dirty dies? As well as a Hornady powder measurer that has been in storage? Thanks guys! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Thanks for the heads up! And I agree, all brands miss little things like burrs and such. I don’t mind doing the hand fitting on a press myself! Thanks again! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I ordered some. For where I live (Southern Kentucky), it was $8.01 for shipping, $.90 for tax, for a total of $15.86 for a 10 pack delivered. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Found a good deal on a used TRP on gunbroker. Just thought I would let everybody know what I ended up with. Been carrying it for a few days not in a 1791 leather holster. Love it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I have a newer press. I’ll let you know once I get it setup. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. My next 1911 will be something in 9mm for my wife. Not sure which one yet. My criteria is that it has to be the softest shooting one possible and the grip checkering can’t be overly aggressive. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Well I just ordered a 10 pack. Thanks for the info. I can’t wait to try them on the old red press. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Could you take some pictures of this O ring setup and post them please? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Never mind. I got it. [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I am having a little trouble getting it to work for me. I’m gonna have to play with it some more. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Sounds like you are speaking from experience on the cart wheels, haha. I really do need to get one of those! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Seems like when I started shooting competitions that I took everything but the kitchen sink with me and the more and more that I went I took less and less stuff. But now I am back on the upswing and I am taking more stuff every time I go to a competition or just the range in general. I've seriously considered getting a range cart.
  17. Thanks for being patient with me guys. What do you guys think about maybe saving some money and purchasing one of theses guns. Would I be just as happy or would I end up with buyers remorse? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. You guys have really got me looking at the Dan Wesson pistols. I really like the look of the guardian, but I think it’s pretty much between the TRP Operator and the DW Specialist. To be honest it will probably come down to which pistol I can find first for a decent price and in stock. I’m currently carrying a S&W E-Series, 5” railed. It is really nice, but you can’t have too many quality pistols. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Not until now! Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I’m not sure that I fully appreciate the differences between the elite, the trp operator and the loaded models. Is there a significant difference in any to make one better that the other for carry? I can’t image that there is. At least not at my skill level. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] You sir, are my hero. That was funny. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. A cop...copper...police officer...boy in blue....pig. oink
  23. Haha, definitely trying to hit something. A good start for me was 3-5 yards just to still practice other fundamentals. This wasn’t strictly for competition style practice and for me it was actually to eliminate my blink response to shooting. I wanted to get rid of the reaction of blinking every time the gun fired. That may sound silly to some people, but I bet a lot of guys do it without realizing it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. I would prefer something with a rail. I’m used to having a WML on my pistols both at work and on my EDC. I’m a cop, so I’m used to having a lot of gear and weight on my hips so I don’t mind the weight of a government sized 1911 with a light on it. I have started looking at the Dan Wesson’s and if Buds would get it back in stock I really like the specialist in SS. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
