  1. For my Shadows I load to 1.15 and not one problem using a CPRN 124 Grain. Using a CPHP I have to load to 1.13. Currently using W231 but I here Titegroup is great for 9mm. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  2. If you have Titegroup already, use it. Lots of info for 40 major. From what I gathered N320, E3, Titegroup, and W231/HP38 are the go to for 40 major. Definitely want to know your first impressions!! Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  3. Man I'm excited for you! 2011's are gorgeous and really have a great feel to them. They feel like sports cars do when you get in one. We are literally on the same path. Just started to reload for my DVC. I have thousands of Berry's 180 grain plated bullets too but my chrono broke during my move. I couldn't wait and used up the remaining loads (few hundred) with Win 231 I had for my CZ TS plus whatever 40 factory rounds I could find. Since you are coming from Glock, yes you'll be able to tell the difference. You'll want to get some lower power recoil springs to match your load. I popped in an 11# recoil spring to use on my TS loads and VIOLA just like that......... you'll see!!!!! I didn't have any issues with my short TS loads with OAL at 1.135 but everyone seems to load waaaay longer for their 2011's. Like I said, we are on the same boat. Just have to get a chrono and find new place that'll let me use one. What kind of powder are you planning to use? Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  4. The Pantera, like you said from all the info that is out there, seems like a solid pistol. Has a great look too it! CONGRATS!!!! Do you have it already? Pics? If not, soon? Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  5. So did you end up getting the Pantera or STI? Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  6. Czechmate Fo0! They just run! Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  7. I came from similar situation. Started with M&P and added all the goodies. Shot it until the finish wore off and thought it was awesome. Then I got ahold of CZ's and I hadn't looked back since. Sold everything I had and only owned CZ pistols in every caliber. I would constantly shoot other pistols but nothing compared to any of my CZ's. Then, recently, one day after years, I realized I've only shot 1911's in 45 and have never shot a 2011 or any other caliber in that platform. I went through the same scenario. Going back and forth from the more economical route with a Rock pro, Metro arms, used Para, or the like to the Pantera or Edge kind of stuff. After LOTS of reading and discussion of same question you have, I ended up with an STI DVC (in 40 S&W of course). Long story short, I love CZ's! Always will and won't get rid of them. They won't ever collect dust unless I sprinkle some on there. Buuuuuut I get it. I get the 2011 thing. The triggers are great and that grip angle! Parts and customization galore!! The STI is awesome and gorgeous! I don't have any issues at all with mine. It handles the 40 S&W very well. To answer your question, So as long as you get one that runs, more so one with mags in the package, get the STI!!!! Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  8. Just want to make sure I'm reading this right. 1.070 COAL? Seems incredibly short for that amount of powder? I ran 7.2 (might have to double check that number) but had a COAL of 1.15 Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  9. Al straight trigger is very nice imo. Seems to get rid of the "play" everyone is talking about. It moved the trigger position rearward which gave me better placement for my finger. The front surface was too slippery for my taste but put a small piece of skate tape on it and love the feel. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  10. Thanks Fo0. STI DVC .40 S&W TiN bull barrel w/link and pin: 5.47oz =155grams STI DVC .40 S&W slide w/sights assembled: 12.35oz = 350grams Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  11. Any way you can post some weights of the barrels and slides from your examples, please? Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  12. Who did the bi top work? Did you send it off or it that a DIY? Also, curious as to how much it weighs. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  13. Can anyone who has a brass magwell tell us how much they weigh? Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  14. Agreed, hammer follow on a CZ seems unlikely. All of those triggers are incredibly low! Guess I'll just have to shoot mine more to work in it! Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  15. You might want to change to a short reach trigger. I installed two with great results. They might adjust some of the geometry to get rid of that play. Hard to find in states but get ahold of Milos at Armory Craft. He might have one. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  16. Beautiful in blue!!! Do you shoot this in any competitions? Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  17. Are you looking for a TS or a TSO? Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  18. You're right!!!!!! It's just one piece to the puzzle. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  19. Glad I'm not the only one who's had this issue. 600lbs safe on 2nd story but professional movers couldn't even get it up the narrow confined staircase. There are many great suggestions though, thanks. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  20. Have you had a chance to shoot the two grips side by side? Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  21. To answer original question, the Czechmate takes full size CZ recoil springs and is noted to be rated at 14 lbs. They can be bought at the usual players; CZC, CGW, Wolff, CZ USA, and I'm sure there are others. It strongly depends on ammo, but 8lbs is light for major power factor. I've experimented down to 9 lbs for major and anything less doesn't seem like there would be anymore benefit for the wear and abuse it would take. 9 lbs and I can hear metal clacking. Again, depends on ammo load! I've settled on 10 lbs, btw. My Czechmate shoots factory ammo in stock configuration but just burbles the shells at ejection. Changed back to the 10 lbs recoil spring and factory ammo runs like a champ. YMMV, but it's all about ammo being used. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  22. Great info. I've shot 1911's before, but never a great 1911 let alone a 2011. From what I'm gathering, slide weight is a major player as well. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  23. Maybe someone can answer what the weights are for the two types of barrels? Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  24. Gotcha. Whoa, guess the ones I shot weren't great examples. I always thought my Czechmate was better than most 1911/2011 but nothing like that! Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  25. Care to elaborate? Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
