The boss hanger is by far the best gear upgrade I have ever made. I don't care about the actual holster much but how it attaches to the belt makes a huge difference.
I went through two venoms in less than 1,000 rounds and sold the replacement Vortex sent me the second time. I just got the SRO and if this one doesn't last atleast 10,000, I'll probably ditch CO.
I'll agree that it is easier in the beginning to shoot faster and more accurately with a CZ or Tanfo, but a Glock is easier and faster to reload and draw. I would say that in USPSA around A class the gun doesn't really matter anymore in production but I think most lower level shooters will see an advantage with heavier guns and better triggers. As far as having .2 slower splits, if someone has that big of a difference from platform to platform then they have some serious fundamental issues. Even on a 25 yard partial there shouldn't be that big of a difference.
The shield will not fit the DPP cut and I assume the opposite is also true. They look very similar but are just different enough to not work. You can probably fit a DPP on a 43 but I think it's 1.3 in width, so you will have a lot of overhang.
I believe they are .355, I just order the standard Blue Bullets. I've shot them in Glock, Tanfoglio, CZ, and 2011s and never had any issues with leading.
I really like the Dawson mags. I've never had a malfunction with one and they will even run if you drop them in sand. It is pretty difficult to unload a full mag by hand, but it gets easier with practice.
I can call my shots and am very rarely surprised by a Mike or a Delta, but I don't usually have a clear memory of exactly what my sights did during a stage. The only targets I have a clear picture of are 20 yard plus partials, heads, or mini poppers.
I've had this happen twice, first one was significantly higher than my other classifiers and the second it was a few percent higher but just high enough to be flagged. The first one they removed the flag the next Wednesday. On the second one I had to email them after about three weeks and they finally put it through, but it was during the election so i'm guessing they were busy.
Another good resource is practicalshootingtraininggroup.com it's Stoger and Hwansik Kim and they have videos of all the live and dry fire drills. Most of the drills can also be found in the book but I found it very beneficial to see them doing the drills and talking through common mistakes.
I use bladetech but my next belt will be a DAA. They are really stiff and everything from DAA is top notch. I haven’t messed with the Guba but I’d assume they also make a great product. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
