Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I am not sure I have a favorite classifier, but we're going to include Vic's Brain Dead in the Midwest Regional. There is movement and is shots unlimited, sort of atypical for a classifier, for the 8 shooters one standing reload and one on the move, or if you're a drag racer maybe two on the move. http://www.icore.org/classifiers/CS-020.pdf
  2. Part of the beauty of ICORE is that it has just enough rules to make a game but not more.
  3. I have a Range Officer Compact in 9mm with a tighter chamber. Rounds that will chamber easily in 9mm 1911s from STI, DW, and S&W sometimes don't plunk. I use the SA barrel as my chamber gauge. If it drops in and out of that chamber it will fit any gun I own.
  4. I weighed the DVC Classic (mine is in 45), and with an empty Wilson ETM mag inserted there is 1oz to spare. I used a set of check weights and the scale is correct to within +/- 1 gram.
  5. Isn't the DVC Classic GR longer than a for a Govt model? Will the govt. FLGR being just a little short, work ok?
  6. "Don't know, but I'm going to have a conversation with STI about this this week. " STIboy, Give us a report on the weight conversation. In the mean time, I will find a scale and weigh my new Classic in 45.
  7. Has anybody weighed a DVC Classic? Weight is not listed on the STI website and I can't find the postal scale (who mails anything anymore!). In spite of the longer barrel it feels light to me, so I am wondering about replacing the toolless-GR with solid SS, if I can find someone to make it.
  8. When searching for gun info, competition tips, reloading data the searches have often ended with reading threads from the forums here, so it seemed like time to join. My primary interests are in wheelguns and single stack 1911s for ICORE & USPSA.
