  1. Yeah Me too. Im just going to remove the pretravel screw and I did locktight the overtravel screw but I want to find a lnger one because it seems like its only hanging on by a couple threads
  2. Hey Man, I know its a pretty old post but do you have the part number for the extended firing pin? That link doesnt work anymore and I ordered a Tanfo small frame firing pin but it doesnt fit.
  3. Yeah they can’t do a direct mill unfortunately. I went with gun cuts. They made a plate for it for RMR footprint. It’s not as deep as I’d like but that’s ok. I plan to shoot it tomorrow side by side with one of my shadow 2s. I’ll let you know how it goes. here’s how it sits with an SRO
  4. Hey man thanks for the response. I was thinking more about what it could be and thought about the pre travel screw. At first I thought the over travel screw was the issue but after adjusting it didn’t help. Sitting on the couch I realized I didn’t adjust the pre travel screw. Adjusted it all the way out and bingo we seem to be good to go. Will try to get it to the range tomorrow and see how it goes.
  5. update: I figured it out. It was the pre travel screw out too far. It was fine with the slide off but with it on it didn’t work. Mods Move to "other" if not allowed here but I figured since its a CZ/Tanfo Clone guys here would know whats up best. I got this inexpensive Sar K12 to mess around with a low budget LO build. Just got the slide back from being milled and with the slide on I seem to be having issues im assuming with sear engagement that are not present with the slide off. When I rack the slide the hammer goes back and stays back but doesn't seem to fully engage unless i give it a push back. This can be a very slight touch but it needs it to fully engage and set the trigger otherwise its just a dead trigger. The other issue is if I manually cocked the hammer it falls back forward probably 8 out of ten times. This does not happen when I have the slide off of the gun it cocks just fine. What I've done to the gun so far: Slide: -Just the cut. I have some more things I plan on doing but none yet. Frame: -Blend the magwell to frame. -Change trigger return spring -Change to a Tanfoglio Extreme Flat trigger part# 30XTR00014B -Change to a lighter galloway precision Mag Strut Spring -Polish internals using Memphis mechanics video. Ive polished many other guns including Tanfo Stock 2 and a bunch of CZs. I using a Dremel with buffing pad and flitz. My best guess is a took of material where I shouldn't have when I polishes but only using flitz and a buffing wheel ive never done this before. Click the links for videos of whats going on. Any help appreciated. No attempts to live fire the gun yet its brand new. Video 1: https://imgur.com/a/0Ue17sc Video 2: https://imgur.com/a/SXMUiJm
  6. I had an armory craft. I didn’t feel It was any better than the stock trigger.
  7. Im wondering the same. Did you ever try it?
  8. It’s not a rumor it’s a fact. GX holsters are at about 10 or more months right now unless you’re a freind or sponsored shooter. Lead time still says 16 weeks which is the worst part. Good holster but I would not purchase again.
  9. His wait time is about 10-12 months. The more you bitch the faster you get it. Sad to say but if you want it faster you need to be a pain in his ass. Joel Park just posted on his instagram that Lafe made him one for the new steel frame pdp. Pretty bad taste if you ask me. Regular customers are waiting 8 months last the quoted time and you send one to your buddy a week after the gun comes out?!
  10. I had one of those unscrew and shoot out of the front of the gun. An uncaptured tungsten or stainless rod is much better IMO
  11. That letter says “LOK grips all models” that is a model of a LOK grip so I can’t see how it would be denied.
  12. Yeah the steel on steel is way too slick. Took me multiple days the first time. I had to file a notch to get it to hold. The floss is the only good way. Glad the post helped.
  13. Yeah its super strange they have different dimension. I ended up selling the black gun after buying my friends chrome so I could have two chromes. The black one shot awesome still but It was weird to fit differently.
  14. Perfect or too far back will always be subjective. My hands are different than Corey Yates (whoever that is) so just because it was great for him doesn’t meal it will be for me.
  15. That is not correct. The Canik Thumb rest is not a pin like the align tactical therefore is not legal for CO.
  16. Considering that thumb rest will put you in LO you mind as well get a race holster now.
  17. it was super simple to apply to the backstrap. took 5-10 minutes.
  18. No love for the lefties. I wouldn't buy one anyways but come on give the lefties some love.
  19. Yeah dude I love it. It’s painful in a good way lol. But it doesn’t cut me or tear me up. Not yet at least. I haven’t shot a match with that gun yet though.
  20. Yeah I have several parts from them including a mag catch. I mostly bought it for the tool. I think I got 1-2 uses out of it before it broke. I talked to Brandon months ago about making one that last longer. Seems like he finally working on a metal version. as a lefty that’s owned I think 10 caniks now I have to change them pretty often. There’s two ways I’ve found that work pretty well. One way I use a triangle file to file a very slight notch in the Chanel the spring rides in. This helps keep the spring where it should be. I use a couple punches and can get it done pretty quickly. The other method I’ve been using lately is to compress the spring in the vice (don’t go to much or the spring will lose its “memory” and won’t go back out) then wrap it in dental floss so it stays compressed. Then you can slide it mostly back in cut the floss and push it in the rest of the way. The floss is probably the best way but I’ve done it so many times the other way I’m pretty good at it and get it done relatively quickly. I will say it’s a TERRIBLE design. There’s so many better options they could have went with.
  21. I bent one before on one of my polymer rivals. I just bent it back as close as could to stock.
  22. Keep in mind the only difference between the left and right handed version is the orientation of the logo. It will still function the same.
  23. In order of importance (IMO) this is the list of things Indontonthe polymer guns. - handleit/talon grips or silicon carbide on the frame. -springco comp spring kit -w74 tungsten or wolf SS guide did with 14 or 15 lb recoil spring (I think the extra weight from the from the tungsten is worth it. -brass backstrap. Taylor freelance or lok. Get whichever you find cheaper. I think the new TF is best. -freedonsmith trigger ( I like the sport shoe) -disruptive defense optic plate. I think thats about it. It doesn’t take much. Obviously you’ll need your choice of optic and mags. If you want 24+1 you’ll need henning pads and MBX or Rune tacticle springs and followers.
