  1. Won my class at steal challenge
  2. Second the holodun 507
  3. I buy brass for my local range, 20 bucks for ten pounds. It's already tumbled. I then sort by head stamp. I only load, Winchester, R/P, Blazer and federal bras for my open gun. All other brass is used for minor loads.
  4. I used to load on a Lee classic turret press. I average a hundred rounds an hour. I bought a dillon 550 for 200 bucks from a shooter who was getting out of the hobby. I now load 300 to 400 rounds an hour
  5. Same, save yourself some frustration. I use my syti mags for practice. So I can practice feed issues and gun stoppage problems. I don't have those problems with mbx.
  6. I shoot open, I also shoot lots of other 9mm. Very important to load different loads with different color bullets to easily identify the load. I used to shoot blue bullets for my open gun so I loaded acme bullets, which are red for my standard loads. I switched to a jhp for my open gun now. An open round in a regular 9mm is a really bad idea.
  7. I have nothing but respect for you
  8. Update, doing better no pain walking normal
  9. I shoot open, I have one big stick mag in the gun. (After the load and make ready command) two on my belt. One is a 155 mm mag the other 140. In my bag I have three more big sticks and a 140mm mag.
  10. I am friends with an orthopedic doc I have called him.
  11. Have a first aid kit at every match. I had a paramedic in my squad and I am a certified athletic Trainer.
  12. I stuck my finger in the hole to stop the blood from gushing out.
  13. I was focused on the water hose like flow of blood from my leg
  14. It was at MCV, a level one Trauma center in Richmond Virginia. They see multiple gunshots wounds a day. This is one of the hospitals that there train combat surgeons for the military. I was in good hands.
  15. Thirty plus yards, about a 45 degree angle
  16. Thought this would be a good place for this post. Yesterday at a steel match. As I was watching another competitor shoot. A bullet ricocheted off a steel plate, hit me in the shin and proceed to pass through my lower leg and embedded in my calf muscle. It bleed like a water hose was turned on. Blood streamed out of the front of my leg. I took a little Trip to the ER, via ambulance. Good new is no major damage. Bullet fragment was left in my leg, because it would do more damage to remove it. A couple of days of rest and back to shooting this coming weekend.
  17. The 121, from Montana gold. I don't like the 115's.
  18. I have been shooting a 124 grn jhp over 6.9 of wac with wspm primers. At 1400 fps and a power factor of 173. Is there any advance to shooting the 121 grn jhp? The 124 work great no problems, just want to know if the 121 provide any advantage.
  19. Almost the same load for me, 124 PD over 6.9 of WAC with Winchester Magnum Primers. Chrono average 1398 fps. Extreme spread was 12 fps. Power factor 173. CK, with popple holes.
  20. Just a quick question I have about a pound of Aa#7. I would like to know some loading Data for 9mm major. I am currently using WAC. 6.9 grns under precision Delta 124. With Winchester Small pistol magnum primers. Please share your AA#7 Data. I want to compare the loads.
  21. Thanks for your reply, I have 10 lbs of WAC. So it will be a while before I try a new powder.
