Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I think this was the best Fallen Brethren match I have ever attended, you guys did a fantastic job! The stages, ROs, staff, food, schedule, prize table - everything was top notch - hats off to all of you! And the weather - OMG, perfect. While I thanked a few of the main sponsors I could remember, I know there are others - is there a comprehensive list of sponsors anywhere? Rhonda
  2. I signed up when it opened, and got the email saying I was registered. But I'm still not able to squad, says I haven't been approved yet? Do I need to send payment before I can squad? Thanks Rhonda Stonaker
  3. Is there a squad list available yet? I signed up so long ago I don't remember if or who I put down to squad with. Since this is only my second big 3 gun match, I'm depending on several people for gear, advice and moral support (hahaha), so I'd like to see if I'm squadded with them... Looking forward to it! Rhonda
  4. Oh you won't! You got better during the match! You'll be the "you know what" very soon! It was a pleasure getting to know you! Denise LOL Denise, you guys were a hoot to shoot with! I would love to be the "you know what" but I gots lots of work to do - I may have to come shoot your match next year tho, sounds like a great one! Enjoyed meeting and hanging out with y'all too, can't wait till next time!
  5. This was my first major 3 gun match, and all I can say is WOW!! Great stages, everything ran very smoothly considering how many competitors were there, the range is absolutely awesome and tho I didn't stick around for it I heard the prize table was over the top. I really enjoyed shooting with Squad 6, thank you all for the help and encouragement - I learned a lot, and I really wanna go shopping now for new gear! I have scope envy in a bad way, thanks to Sharon! Thank you to all the match staff and sponsors for putting on a fantastic event, it will definitely be on my list for next year and maybe I won't be so close to the bottom next time... Rhonda
  6. -1000 Having been involved in countless matches over the years, from locals to Areas/majors, and from all 3 angles (competitor, RO and stats shack) I would have to wholeheartedly disagree. Paper scoring can't even come close to the efficiency and accuracy that you gain by using electronic scoring. Yes the Palms are an outdated platform, but they work very well and you just can't beat the price point. I am looking forward to having a choice in platforms, whether it is android or apple, and I'm very excited to see that the new EZWin version supports a more generic import - that will open this up to even more possibilities. Here in the D/FW area we have been using Palm scoring at local matches for several years. I believe the key is in the training - a quick YouTube search will lead you to several videos on how to use the palms - pretty much anyone who can use a cell phone can use the Palms with just a little bit of effort. The shooters in this area are now spoiled by not having to deal with paper on the range, and by having final scores available within a few minutes of the last shot fired. At almost every match I hear someone else stepping up and saying "hey, can you show me how to use that Palm thing?", which means the kool-aid is really tasty We have also done several major matches in this area using Palm scoring, and even with having to record a summary of each shooter on paper it is far superior than all paper. I'm sorry your experience so far hasn't been a good one - but I'm happy to say that you're probably going to have to get over that aversion, as it looks like electronic scoring is here to stay (woo hoo!!). I'd be happy to give you a personal tutorial if you're so inclined, just say the word! Rhonda
  7. Try this link: http://www.uspsa.org/uspsa-display-match-results-detail.php?indx=2622 Rhonda
  8. OK, sorry for the delay, but we are having issues uploading results to USPSA - for the record, scores were complete and posted at the range by noon though, thanks to Palm scoring. Final results can be found on USPSA under club code IPSC75 for now. We will have them moved to an Area 4 link as soon as possible. Thanks to everyone who came out to the match, be sure to thank Ken and the rest of the crew for putting on a fabulous match. And the weather actually cooperated this time except for a little scare this morning...
  9. Interim scores are temporarily located on USPSA under Double Tap Ranch IPSC75. This should be fixed soon,
  10. Good to see you again BJ, you had a great match. And you're welcome
  11. I think I left my gun cover out at the range somewhere - red, with black writing that says "Trixi" and the Ronin symbol, just like my avatar. I'd be happy to pay the postage if somebody finds it!
