Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I tossed together a quick free app that will run on anything Windows10 (phone/tablet/PC/etc). Pretty simple just ability to set delay before beep, multiple different par times, a counter of runs, etc. The only kind of advanced part is it uses voice synthesizer and speech recognition (backup buttons in case of issues). So it will as "Are you ready", wait for you to say "ready", then say "standby" and wait random or set delay before beep, then pars. Then repeat until you want to quit. Works well with cordless Bluetooth headsets/earbuds so wife doesn't have to hear all the beeps/noise/etc to keep me out of trouble https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/store/p/dry-fire-timer/9n0979m8n7ph
  2. Ahhhh ,that makes sense. So not a specific rule, but can be part of the interpretation of the WSB and can use 10.2.2 for failing to comply with WSB if enforcement is required. Interesting to know, thx!
  3. Interesting to hear Canada is doing that. When you have to enforce, what rule are you trying to use?
  4. I don't believe that is true. I pretty much exclusively compete and RO IPSC matches and I don't believe you will find any rule to support that. I'm somewhat new (4-5 years) so not sure of the history of rules. I've had a couple cases of ROs trying to enforce that (even one at the latest WS). I don't argue while I'm on the line (as don't want the distraction), but every time I've asked for the rule after my run they cannot find it and agree it should be allowed. I've hit a number of cases like this with older ROs so I'm guessing they don't always stay up to date with latest rule changes and this may be a case of that.
  5. Chris was down with us having a great competition and enjoying carnival in Jamaica!
  6. I just received a new Czechmate. I want to replace the front sight on the barrel nut for the limited config. I've been trying to remove the existing front sight but cannot get the thing to move! I've removed the set screw, been trying to get it to move with a punch and hammer (beating up the existing sight a bit), put it in the freezer to see if that would help. Cannot get the darn thing to move! Any suggestions I should try?
  7. The reason I have to buy is the world is f'n stupid I live in the Caribbean and because of some apparently fairly recent change in Hazmat classification I cannot find any shipping company willing to ship primers. They will ship full ammo, containers full of fireworks, and even explosives and blasting caps for quarries here. But apparently there is something about shipping primers by themselves where the Hazmat classification means the shippers insurance won't cover it. No primers means reloading is pretty much screwed. Pre-primed brass would work (again that is allowed for some stupid reason), but paying for pre-primed brass wipes out basically all the cost savings
  8. I've heard the 9mm major ammo from http://www.universalammo.com/ was made specifically for the Czechmate
